-----"""And so what if he is gay? That doesn't make him any less spongy or his pants any less square."""

Lol, good quote Ohio.

I like Barkid's take on this matter. And I hate the guy with the Nixon avatar, he's an *** and his avatar sucks. I hope he gets raped by his cell-mate spongebob in a pineapple prison under the sea.

This insults homosexuals.

Mr. Nixon:

Good job repeating what had already been said.

Actually, FML said the entire video was about sexual diversity, when it is not, it is about diversity in general. Spongebob plays a very minor role and never actually endorses homosexuality. Perhaps you should spend more time raiding democratic offices and less time being critical of my posts.

Spongbobs producers shouldn't have OK'd his presence in the Spot. Good job repeating what had already been said.

I did a bit of research into this and what I found was that nobody is actually saying that spongebob is gay, they (conservative christian whatever group) were angry because he was featured in a video that was being sent to schools that was talking about diversity and tolerance, including tolerance of people's sexuality that is different than yours. I watched the video for myself and they are definitely overexaggerating Mr. Bob's role in this, as well as the overall message of the video itself. Regardless my guess is that if spongebob did indeed have sexual organs he seems like the type of guy (girl?) who would probably snort crank off the back of a hunting knife in an alchohol induced stupor and then do whatever he could get his hands on, seahorses, fish, clams, maybe even the odd lobster or two. He is probably much more of a "bad boy (girl?)" off screen than he is on screen, kind of like Leonardo DiCaprio.

It would be one thing if it was geared toward adults, but I won't want my kids to think gayness is great. I don't even want them knowing what gayness is when they are 8 Years old. You can teach your kids to be deviants and I'll teach mine to be upstanding members of society.

SO much as christians preaching love and tolereance.

Christianity teaches and promotes preace and tolerance the way McDonalds promotes a healthy diet.

They aren't accusing spongebob of being gay, There was a video promoting acceptance of sexual preference aimed at kids that spongebob apeared in. I didn't know the whole story when I started this board, but now I think it was bad of the spongebob producers. I'll still watch him though, he's one of my fave's.

I just want to say this whole Spongebob being gay thing is ridiculous...honestly I don't see why this Christian group ever brought it up. First of all he's a bloody cartoon character I doubt children are watching this show thinking, 'Oh that spongebob he must be gay.' Second of all, how cares? I think it's apparent by now the homosexuality isn't going anywhere so some people are going to need to open their minds just a little bit and honestly get over it. (Sorry, if that sounded harsh or rude)

Nothing, but these guys do more to introduce kids to the idea of gayness than even the gayest of gay-Elton John. It's just ironic because they wish to have the opposite effect.

Well, I wanted to be Xena as a young girl. Have I ever grabbed a sword and shrieked "Eayayayayaya.....!!!!!" as I kicked two guys while jumping in the air and fought alongside Hercules? No.

If these guys keep saying popular figures are gay than children are just going to say; "Spongebob is gay? I want to be like him". These focus on the family dude's implant the idea of gayness in these kids minds. I didn't know what gayness was untill my crazy grandma told a nine year old me that Elton John was gay.
