Yogore, that is not the only reason i call him that. The fact that he let out a bunch of convicts with his presidential pardon had to do with it.

quote: Originally posted by Bushsupporter: The impeachment had nothing to do with his sex in office. It had everything to do with his felony crime of purjury. He lied under oath in a grand jury hearing and that, my friends, is against the law.
Wow. So Clinton, like Presidents Washington through H.W. Bush before him and Dubya after him, lied to the American public. Simply amazing. Let's burn him at the stake! quote: That reflects on a president's ability to do his job.
I have to agree with this. If a President is incapable of lying, he's going to be a terrible President. Being the leader of a nation requires an ability to successfully bluff and sometimes outright lie. In this case, Clinton outright lied. But as the little piece of bumper sticker wisdom goes, "No one died when Clinton lied." quote: Leaders of other countries look down upon him for being the stereotype weak american who cannot be strong and fight tempation and does whatever he wants for his own pleasure.
That's funny. I seem to remember Clinton being the internationally respected President, and I honestly can't think of one country that did anything to indicate they viewed Clinton as a weak, temptation-driven man. Conventional international wisdom seems to suggest Bush is the screwy one, and seems to stick him with the stereotype of being an extremist American who cannot be strong and fight his own limited vocabulary. quote: Children could not be allowed to watch the news, listen to the radio, or look at a news paper because of the **** that was no inserted in our daily lives.
This is the really amusing part. The people (usually the melodramatic "oh please won't somebody think of the children!" type Republicans) who went around announcing that in this age of debauchery we couldn't even turn on the radio were the exact same people who were making it so we couldn't turn on the radio. A very hypocritical, transparent front was put up by these "concerned parents". In reality, all these parents wanted to do was turn Bill Clinton into a soap opera star and talk about his sex life.
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

People cheat all the time, and I'm sure that other presidents have and will as well. He was only in trouble because he was caught. He did a good job with our country for the most part. What he did in his down-time was his business. His forgave him, that's all that should've mattered. His cheating really had no effect on the country and was blown out of proportion in my opinion.

Although Clinton was such a ball of scummy filthy arrogant sexist and immoral put together, you gotta get in his shoes. Everyone of us makes mistakes, we just like to take it on to our leaders and get into their personal lives and find out all of the dirt. I'm sure you've done many things you regret(yes, you all) and no one is watching you under a micro-scopic camera embedded in your toothebrush...heuh?

I still never understood why people cared so much. Had he not been president and this had happened, it wouldn't have been such a scandal. I never understood why humans must butt into the lives of people in the spotlight. How would you like it if people watched your every move?

The only thing that has disgraced your country is that shaven monkey you call President. If you don't like my honesty, don't read my posts.

And another very mature reply from celtic. The impeachment had nothing to do with his sex in office. It had everything to do with his felony crime of purjury. He lied under oath in a grand jury hearing and that, my friends, is against the law. That reflects on a president's ability to do his job. I do think that his affair also reflects negetively on his ability to do his job, he leads us and should lead by example. That is most certainly not a good example. Leaders of other countries look down upon him for being the stereotype weak american who cannot be strong and fight tempation and does whatever he wants for his own pleasure. Children could not be allowed to watch the news, listen to the radio, or look at a news paper because of the **** that was no inserted in our daily lives. I don't disagree with all of this policies, but his infidelity and sickening acts of sex (cigar up the...) have disgraced him and the country and left us with a scar for a long time to come.

Why do people even ****ing care? It's his life and it was no ones buisness butting into it. Him having an affair doesnt confirm how he runs the country, if he is a good President, I dont give a **** about what they do in their spare time. -Sunset

Well, thanks. I guess. I figured the whole time that I was doing a good thing by not laying all my opinions down. But I have, often times.

God Lord, freedomordeath is finally taking a stance and making an arguement. I must commend you, not many people can make 371 posts and only make one arguement the entire time. FYI - Congress tried to find if there was enough evidence to legally accuse Bill Clitnon of perjury.

Of course it was serious-it was our president. The leader of a 260 million+ populus country. And one of the most powerful leaders in the world. I did not know that the government tried to find that Clinton was guilty. No, I do not believe it was right for him to remain in office-but he should have resigned, and not be impeached. But before you get started on your report, why don't you touch up on those english skills?
