Question:
I'm not quite sure how many people know about this double murder trial and have been following it... Anyways my poll question is WHAT DO YOU THINK OF SCOTT PETERSON?

Choices:
Guilty beyond doubt
Innocent as ever
Was involved but not directly
Who's Scott Peterson?

Like OJ, if Peterson was truly innocent, he would have sat in that courtroom crying, begging police to find who really killed his wife.

This is what Scott Peterson did when the verdict was read: smirked and shrugged.

I'm happy the law worked this time.

If in some way we find out Scott Peterson is innocent, I would be truly surprised.

At least now Laci Peterson can rest in peace and the Rocha family can sleep soundly knowing the man who committed the crime is behind bars.

That would be making a "characture judgement," which is convicting someone on past actions that have nothing to do with the case, but makes the defendent look shady.

DjMagnusa- what do you think about the case??

So everyman who cheats has a motive for murder? We would have shitload of murders in this country if that were the case. I didn't pay extreme attention to the case simply because I think its disgusting that the media did pay so much attention to the case.

There were no eyewitnesses, no murder weapons, no solid evidence. Everything was circumstantial. What if Scott really didn't do it- would any of you bet your life that he did? What if he is innocent. His life is now ruined. That's why I say I hope he did do it. If he would have been found not guilty, I hope that would have been true.

When I asked about the doubt, this is what I meant. I haven't been following the case, so I didn't know how sure of a thing him being found guilty was.

I understand the feeling, Ikki. I really don't know what to think.

Okay, apparently I have a controversial view point. I never said he was innocent. I never said he was guilty. I really DON'T KNOW, and I can't understand how ANYONE who WASN'T in the courtroom really COULD KNOW. Really, the only person who does know is Scott Peterson himself. That is all. Everyone else, including Mark Gerragos, Scott's parents, etc., is just speculating. Guessing. Hoping. We only know what the media tells us about this case, what they feel is worth reporting. What about the natal evidence- that Conner may have been alive as long as Dec. 29, days after Laci dissapeared? There were no eyewitnesses, no murder weapons, no solid evidence. Everything was circumstantial. What if Scott really didn't do it- would any of you bet your life that he did? What if he is innocent. His life is now ruined. That's why I say I hope he did do it. If he would have been found not guilty, I hope that would have been true. I keep thinking that this is the American public trying to make up for letting OJ walk free. The defense in this case made so many mistakes, broke so many promises. They never gave an alternative explaination- another person or people who could have killed her. As humans we need another explaination to grasp onto.

I'll ask again, do any of you think it is IMPOSSIBLE- that he is innocent?

I also agree with PinkLady- this trial is WAY overblown.

For some reason I'm beginning to get a bad feeling about him being found guilty... No clue why, but it's troubling me...

I honestly, sincerely wonder how anyone can think he is not guilty at this point. To me, saying he is innocent is like saying babies do come from storks.

Guilty as charged!

I hope he did it...

I am so tired of hearing about the Peterson trial. Im from Sacramento and its really getting old. I mean I have one of those find Lacy buttons. I mean yes he may and I think he had something do to with it. But he didnt kill her himself. If anything he had someone do it for him. And whatever the reason Idc, well I do because two ppl have died but still. Anyways its sooooooo over in a couple of mounths someone else will go missing and then there will be more coverage on that story and in 6 mounths it will alll be forgotten. (Oh and is there anyone besides me who thinks Scott Peterson is kinda in a really weird way hot???)

I'm not so sure about the running naked through the street thing, but pretending to be a med student was the Hacking Case. I think they're trying to make him appear insane to get out of a sentence.

I don't think so... I haven't been following it though. This one was where, I believe, he killed her and made it seem as though she had fallen overboard and drowned.

I think the one you talking about is the Lori Hacking case.

Don't quote me on this, though, cause I'm not sure.

I think we all know the reasons I think the murder of a pregnant woman should be viewed as a double murder. I feel life begins at conception.
