i would like to know what everyone's take on these "new wonders of the world" is... 1999 Swiss adventurer, Bernard Weber began this campaign to rename the "7 Wonders of the World"...it has since picked up with great speed and voting is starting soon...this worldly poll will end on July 6, 2007 and be announced on 7/7/07.... voting is online at http://www.new7wonders.comthe following are the new possible wonders: Acropolis, Greece Alhambra, Spain Angkor, Cambodia Christ Redeemer Statue, Brazil Colosseum, Italy Easter Island, Chile Eiffel Tower, France Great Wall of China Hagia Sophia, Turkey Kiyomizu Temple, Japan Kremlin and St.Basil's Cathedral, Russia Machu Picchu, Peru Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany Petra, Jordan Pyramid at Chichen Itza, Mexico Pyramids of Giza, Egypt Statue of Liberty, New York Stonehenge, Britain Sydney Opera House, Australia Taj Mahal, India Timbuktu, Mali i recommend learning of and/or searching each of these locations before deciding upon seven choice, because they all seem to be wonders in their own right...

Ive seen Taj Mahal . Why the number 7 ?? Why cant there be more wonders of the world ???

Well I've seen the Giza Pyramids (obviously) and the Acropolis.... and I think that's it. Personally if they're going to make a new list I think Abu Simbel should be on there, those are awesome and they're hella older than the Statue of Liberty.

I think it's important to seperate the Modern Wonders from Ancient Wonders. Because seriously, can you even compare something like the Pyramids and the Great Wall to Sydney Opera House or the Eiffel Tower? It's also hard to put anything that's been made recently on a list like that. We don't know if these things really are great for our times yet, or whether they'll just be eclipsed by something better.
