i would like to know what everyone's take on these "new wonders of the world" is... 1999 Swiss adventurer, Bernard Weber began this campaign to rename the "7 Wonders of the World"...it has since picked up with great speed and voting is starting soon...this worldly poll will end on July 6, 2007 and be announced on 7/7/07....

voting is online at http://www.new7wonders.com

the following are the new possible wonders:
Acropolis, Greece
Alhambra, Spain
Angkor, Cambodia
Christ Redeemer Statue, Brazil
Colosseum, Italy
Easter Island, Chile
Eiffel Tower, France
Great Wall of China
Hagia Sophia, Turkey
Kiyomizu Temple, Japan
Kremlin and St.Basil's Cathedral, Russia
Machu Picchu, Peru
Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
Petra, Jordan
Pyramid at Chichen Itza, Mexico
Pyramids of Giza, Egypt
Statue of Liberty, New York
Stonehenge, Britain
Sydney Opera House, Australia
Taj Mahal, India
Timbuktu, Mali

i recommend learning of and/or searching each of these locations before deciding upon seven choice, because they all seem to be wonders in their own right...

Besides, it's a manageable number. If we could add more then people would never be happy and anything remotely amazing would have to be on it.

Well I've seen the Giza Pyramids (obviously) and the Acropolis.... and I think that's it. Personally if they're going to make a new list I think Abu Simbel should be on there, those are awesome and they're hella older than the Statue of Liberty.

I totally agree Dr. Having seen the pyramids, I don't see how any building can compare.

Disney world!

The original draft of The Lord of the Rings featured Chuck Norris instead of Frodo Baggins. It was only 5 pages long, as Chuck roundhouse-kicked Sauron's ass halfway through the first chapter.
