Hey guys! =) How many of you are in charge of, or are a member of an environmental club at your school? Discuss what you do, activities, publicity, etc. Also, what does the rest of the school, friends, family, and community think about your environmental club? Environmental Clubbers, unite! hahaha Show some <3

At my high school, we have a Peace Club for students who wish to help in the community and try to stop violence in schools. The plans for this year are to volunteer at places such as the local food bank and possibly do things that invovle the environment. Though the focus of our club is not necessarily the environment, it is included in our thoughts. I think it would be interesting to try to have a Peace Club in school; maybe someone here could try to start one. The one in our school is successful, so maybe it could be elsewhere as well.

I was part of the "Students Environmentally Active" group at my school for like 2.5 years, basically because my friend was in it and her mom was able to give me a ride. All we really did was run around the school one a month and empty recycling bins. That was pretty fun. They got a float in the homecoming parade my senior year. By that point though, I had already pledged my float allegiance to Global Ed (having done their float every year of HS, even the so bad that it's scary years...). We got second that year (with our Spartan crashing into the leaning tower of Pisa, with moving parts!), where SEA didn't even finish theirs (I think it was an octapus...how that represents a country is beyond me...), so I think I picked the right one...

My high school environmental club was a joke. It was run by this one hippy teacher everyone called frau and her hair looked like it hadn't been brushed for a decade and came down to her knees. All they did was collect money so they could "adopt" a monkey for the city's zoo. Then their meetings would consist of how the stupid monkey was doing. I went to one meeting and won a free t-shirt though so that was kinda cool
