Are your personal care products safe?On February 14, 2005, The Safe Cosmetics Campaign is launching a national effort to remove hazardous chemicals from the personal care products we all use every day. September 2004, a law went into effect in the European Union (EU) that requires cosmetics companies to remove reproductive toxins and carcinogens from personal care products. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is calling on all cosmetics and personal care companies to protect our health by phasing out these chemicals in EVERY market they serve and they want your help. I think we should increase testing on animals. That will help us to limit the studied effects on people. Hmm, considering I'm 16 and graduating this year with 60 college hours, how can I be an idiot? If I truly am an idiot, I'm an idiot that uses correct grammar and punctuation.

I'm very glad I don't use many personal care products- and the ones I do are simple things like Soap, toothpaste, etc. I understand to a point that you want to prevent dangerous chemicals in stuff, but I think the EU better watch it, or else people will get on a virtual witch hunt about chemicals.

I really think Cosmetic companies need to be held responcible if they are polluting people's bodies and have knowledge of the fact. With no warning, it's not safe to assume that people would think that these products weren't safe to use, which is unfair to the customer and a dirty trick for selling products.
