dancinhoney234: Congrats on standing up for what you believe in. I conduct drug prevention presentations in Virginia and I think you're on the right track. Last year kids at several high schools in the Hanover and Henrico districts conducted a rally called "Take it Back". The rally was conducted on April 20, and the purpose was to show the community that not all kids use drugs and alcohol. Consider linking up with other groups of kids throughout the state and try to organize larger scale events; you'll get more media coverage that way.

you know it never stop surprising me that when you talk about actually standing for what you believe in people take it personal. Me being drug and alcohol free doesn't mean i'm a happy littyle virgin in life. It just means i prefer to not put those toxins in my body. And yes people have been doing it for years but like our mothers always said"if everyone jumps off a bridge will you?" All I ask is that you think about what you are doing to your body. why not stay as healthy as possible. and to the gay reference no i do not hate gays. I am politically active in getting them rights just like everyone else. I believe in wcuality and if you want to attacke the gay issue then talk to me personally b/c i can tell you every organization i have been apart of and all the phone calls i made to houses to get them to support the gay marriage bills. I just can;'t really get over some of the horrible negative things people say something. I just want your children and my future children to know that they don't need to do drugs or drink to be happy and have a great life like my parents taught me. Also for those of you who got all religous well let's see... I don't really have one so don't spit that ultra liberal crap at me. i am a moderate on the political spectrum so i am not an idiot. sorry for any misspells though I am trying to write my paper for my classes so just an apology and a warning. I just stumbled upon this and wanted to make somethings clear. if you have an questions, comments, or concerns that you wish to personally address to me please email me at dancinhoney234@aol.com or www.myspace.come/live2dance. bye byes everyone

This is a really good idea. I'm trying to get something like it started around here, but I'm not getting very good feedback. It's alright though.

A good informational website I came across is http://www.warondrugs.org. See it! The website also links to the main website http://www.grassroots.org and you can view the other websites the have. Looks like they provide helpful information for all of us and touch extensively on topics such as poverty, disease, drugs, suicide, prison, school, and many more. cheers.

I'm bad enough as it is at aprties WITHOUT alcohol. All of us together, I don't know what it is, but I always get over-excited with the energy in it all and wind up doing something to get hurt. Take today for instance; rolled down the hill at my BFF's apartment for fun, but hit my head TWICE on the concrete at the bottom! I mean, it's not as if I hadn't seen it there! And I ogt really dizzy because of it AND a migraine(sp?) I don't even want to THINK about our type of crazy fun with alcohol in the mixture! lol.

Alcohol and drugs are my vice but i do as much as i can for everyone around me and it offends me when people look down on alcoholics cause prescription drugs have alot of the same effects but alcohol is the only thing that has ever eased my anxiety so F U i dont have money for paxil, zanax, zoloft, or anything else maybe if the world was a better place i wouldnt need it and i wouldnt feel nervous all the time. but i wanna tell the kids that dont do drugs CONGRATULATIONS!!! honestly im proud of you!

I dont understand why people are so proud of abstaining from drugs/alchohol/sex......it makes no sense..."oh look at us up here on our hill dressed invirgin white" give it a rest, if you wanna abstain from generally fun things that have dominated human culture... since well forever, thats fine with me, but i dont wanna hear about it and how it has to do with your morals etc. I can't respect someone who is clean if that person has never experimented or used or nething, because its soo easy to abstain from things and pass judgement about them when you have never had a 1st hand view.

Wow, I agree completely Moovivor. I just don't see why he's hiding. One thing confuses me though, his Point2prove's profile says that he lives in Australia? Interesting.

do u not do drugs because you are scared of what they might do to you or because of what the common stereotype that most people think drugs come along with of some one who takes drugs is a junkie with tatterd hair and clothes sitting in the corner with no one. drugs can kill you but so can crossing a road. quote: sing, act and dance
are you sure its not gay pride ??? ohh no did i right something u dont agree with
