That's good. I think amp just wanted you to concentrate on those reasons instead of the health bit, since vegetables can be unhealthy, too. Hopefully we've got this all ironed out. Lots of circular arguing going on in this thread.
All right, so there are bad things in both meat and vegetables. Both are liable to kill you if they aren't safely prepared. Can we drop this line of argument now? As has been pointed out, unhealthy meat isn't a reason to turn to a meat-free diet since vegetables can be unhealthy. Yes, this is a topic about meat (kind of), but it's irrelevant that meat can be dangerous since veggies are the same way. If you're just considering the "poisons" in your food, then meat and vegetables are on the same level, which means you have to have other reasons to show why one is better than the other.
why? DDT and pesticides will kill you a hell of alot faster then hormones in meat. So why are veggies different. It's all bad, it's all going to kill us sooner or later. So why distinguish? Don't make it a reason to stop eating meat, make it a reason to buy healthier food.

There is two sides of everything. Anyways...Im just saying that there is poisions in meat. Since we were talking about it, of it were veggies it would be much different
Say, it's only a paper moon Sailing over a cardboard sea But it wouldn't be make-believe If you believed in me
I'm just saying it has poisons in it...is that wrong??? It appearantly wasn't wrong for you to say about veggies...but for me????
No, what your doing is saying "there are poisons in meat, so in addition to [insert animal cruelty in the rest of your argument here] you shouldn't eat meat. I'm saying that, that is an invalid argument and because of circumstances like veggies having poisons as well so you should just drop it.

Fine be vegan to protest inhumane treatment. Just take the "meat has poisons in it and is therefore bad" argument behind the barn and shoot it.

No, I found out the inhumane way that they kill meat. And I really didnt want to sit there knowing what the piece of meat went through just so I can eat....

So why bother with vegetarianism? or at least the "poisons" argument? We're all screwed regardless of what we eat so just ditch that argument already.

then can both kill you, so why mince words on the subject? This DDT and Pesticide covered ear of corn is just a likely to kill me as this hormone injected chicken breast so why distinguish?

I'm talking about poisons in meat, not vegetables. MEAT; by the way vegetarianism isn't just all about vegetables. Damn ignorant people....
They still have the right to point out that poisons are not just attributed to meat.
There are chemicals in water, for instance, that wreck havoc on animal populations, that turn them into hermaphrodites.
There are chemicals in food, water, household items that cause birth defects in humans and animals.
And yeah, vegetarianism isn't about just vegetables. However, if you care about hurting animals, why not care about other chemicals in other sources that hurt humans as well? That should be the ultimate goal of everybody-- helping get rid of chemicals that hurt everybody-- human and animal-- as well as educating about the harmful effects, how they are caused, and how to prevent them.

Okay, let's talk about DDT and all the wonderful other poisions and pesticides they put on your oh so delicous vegetables. Let's talk about the hormones and genetic modifications done to vegetable crops to make them grow larger and faster. What about those poisons that they do put in your salad! Hell at least you always cook meat which nutrilizes a lot of those poisons and bacteria that will hurt you

Amp honeslty I dont get bothered by it. Keep going. Cause I dont spend every minute of my life wasting it on what other think of me. They can shout it from the rooftopes till the whole world knows, I still wont care. I have bigger things not better things with meaning to care about. I'm just saying it's getting old. And by the way Im talking about the poisons here not the damn meat. POISIONS! THAT THEY POSSIBLY OR DO PUT IN YOU FOOD! And YouthVoice I get your point. This is pointless to keep talking about who was addressing who...
