i think that is a amazing idea...

we had some kids at my old school that wanted to make one but the teachers said it was to much of an issue to paretns...but will help in whatever way i can!

Oh and Freedom, It's here at my college also. But since none of the students in the Geo department are really involved with the Gay-Straight Alliance, and nobody in the Alliance seems to give a shit about earth sciences, there hasn't been much of a problem.

I'd also dispute that it's "known" at every school. Certainly at my old high school, there's nothing like that. And here at college if I explain that I'm going to a "GSA" convention (the geologic one), people don't assume it's the Alliance, they simply don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

Both of the old WWF's existed for decades before there was a legal battle about it. Nothing will probably come of this because neither group is particularly high-profile. But the Geologic Society clearly has rights to the acronym, and trust me, the geologic GSA has PLENTY of reason to exist, haha.
