Anyone else out here a FNBer? I work with North Philadelphia Food Not Bombs. For those who don't know, it's a network of autonomous groups across the world that collect food that is still ok to eat but can't be sold and feed it to anyone who's hungry. Interestingly, this seems to bother some people, the San Francisco chapter has been arrested literally over 1000 times.

Well lets see here...You're anarchists. I wonder why the cops would be wary of groups who call for the virtual destruction of authority.

And come on here, if the cops are harassing you, then you're obviously doing something that's un-kosher. Maybe your methods are off.

I'm not sure why this bothers people, it mainly gets to cops. Alot of cities have something against people who live on the street (those metal L shaped bars you see on park benches aren't armrests-they're to keep people from sleeping on the benches), they might not want the homeless and poor brought out in the open (which is what FNB tends to do), or they might just be *******s. We only use vegan ingredents, which tends to cut down on the possibility of foodborne illness, so that isn't really an issue. Why are people botherd by it? Unless the food is old and expired and probably shouldn't be eaten then I think it's a great idea. At least SOMEBODY is trying to help the hungry.
