No, not at all. Common misconception. In fact, if they were placed in today's society they would probably get on pretty well.

Neanderthals as we have seen them had no real spiritualism this is a central part of modern human life.

Are you sure? It was either Neandertalis or Sapiens (not Sapiens Sapiens, I don't think), that started the whole "placement" of the body thing.

Neanderthals had no "advanced" tools as in they didn't mske really sharp stone weapons.

But they did. The different species in different locations of the world (area) exchanged ideas. We had tools since Habilis and the Oldawan tradition. Neadertals weren't any less adapted in that aspect.

There's a theory that their large cranial capacity made it difficult for them to outrun us, as their large heads made breathing difficult. Talk about natural selection. . .

I belive that our ancestors killed off neanderthal man. My reasoning:

1. Neanderthals as we have seen them had no real spiritualism this is a central part of modern human life.
2. Neanderthals had no "advanced" tools as in they didn't mske really sharp stone weapons.

I'm also sure the factor of children's deaths at birth and the death of others at birth played a factor in the extinction of the species. So in the end they were similer but no more a true blood relative then the branch of the family living on the opposite half of the world for a billion years.

I would say that childbirth was a big devestation on the population. Back then, women didn't have the abilities that modern day women have now, causing them to be limited in childbirth.
