Oh yeah. Certain points in time would be banned. Important points in history, I mean. Nobody would be allowed near Hitler, JFK, Caesar, MLK, etc. But see, I'm going to ancient Alexandria to tell Heron to combine his idea for pistons with his new steam power. And birth the first steam engine thousands of years before it's natural invention. Because I'm a sneaky bitch.

Woah. When did we get a history forum? I feel so behind. . . youthnoise hiatus hangover/jetlag. I guess if I was going to mess around with time travel, I'd want to go into the future. The only thing I don't like about mortality is I won't get to find out how much we screw up/rehabilitate the planet, how advanced our space travel becomes, when we go extinct....I'd just want to keep going forward and stop to look around, read an issue of Scientific American every ten years. If I was going back in time, I'd want to find out what caused the Permian extinction...if I could do that without killing myself.

I would have liked to go back in time to Chile, to when the great Nascal Lines were being presented to the world and were being built, to see how the hell the civilizations were able to make those huge rock formations without any machinery that we have today. There are more events I would like to visit... but for petty reasons.

Not only that, but make sure some people lived. Like people have wanted to stop the assassination of MLK, JFK, etc. I'd like to ask Kurt Cobain ...wtf? Just straight up...wtf? I'm not a Cobain fan, but I'm curious. I'd also stop Marvin Gaye's dad from killing him. What a spectacular person he was.

I'd go back in time and kill people I didn't like for no reason other than that they annoy me

It's good to see another BTTF fan making NOISE.
Ahem, anyway. I would probably take the time machine back to just before the destruction of the library of Alexandria. The wealth of information that could have been there is simply mouthwatering (location of Atlantis, anyone?).
It's either that or the mid-1930s. Big Band and Swing are among my favorite music styles, and the events leading up to and during the course of WWII fascinate me.

If I could stop anything from happening it would defintely be Dave Pelzers situation. Dave is a grown man now but back then when I wasn't born he was a young boy. His mother abused him,and now I am reading his book called "The Lost Boy" it's about like I said his mother abusing him ,but it always wasn't that way.He was part of the family once upon a time. Mr.Pelzer over the years got help and is living a great life. He has a son name Stephen and living happily ever after. In Conclusion I wish that I was a live when he was going through this so I can be the one to help him . The book is very teary ,and sad and it's like this is happening and as your reading it there's nothing you can do about it. That was the past and this is the future and now he is living a great life.

I meant that it wouldn't be the same sort of thing. Kind of like how Judaism and Christianity would be MAJORLY different if for some reason Abraham didn't make his appearance. I didn't clarify very well.

How could you choose just one place to go back in time? I love history so much, and even though women weren't well respected through most of, I still want to visit a lot of it!
