While Islam doesn't hold Christ as a messiah, Mary is an extremely prominant figure in the religion. I believe Jesus himself is viewed as a prophet of sorts.

Yes Jesus is an extremely powerful prophet from the islamic standpoint

But I was asking how does hubbabaloo figure there wouldn't be the religion of Islam, without Christianity?...

You guys should read "Hitler Painted Roses" by Harlan Ellison. It doesn't have so much to do with Hitler but he does make a pretty powerful cameo, hehe.

I am not an idiot, he was in fact rejected into a French school twice. (Probably explains the whole Paris March-thing...)

That's why I put it down benje!

Just because nobody understands you, that doesn't mean you're artistic.

Actually, I think I would try to become Hitler's personal tutor as a child, and make him a nice, good-natured little boy.

Lol. Yes, that would be the better option.

ROTFLMAO Doc, that was hilarious. I would do that as well, I suppose, if I was sure he wasn't any sort of prodigal (checking in on Mary and Joseph!) and was a wonderful, obedient son...

Of course, but Red Alert 2 is way better.

RTS for the win.

4) Witness Jesus Christ's birth, and most of his life.

How about this: Go back and, with your superior knowledge of future events and modern science/medicine, totally show up Jesus, expose him as a fake, and claim that it is actually YOU who is the son of God.

Then proceed to set all sorts of ridiculous religous practices. Like making the congregation do jumping jacks during the holy communion. Or singing "We will rock you" as a hymn.

Hm... I don't have a lot of time I would stop at if I went back...

1) See Alexander the Great as a young adult... Meet, greet and spend a while with him (but not with his mom)
2) See the Salem Witch Trials
3) See the original Cistentine Chapel work by Michelangelo
4) Witness Jesus Christ's birth, and most of his life.
5) See Hitler kill himself
6) Watch the kristallnacht
7) See the Crossing of the Delaware
8) Convince my nana not to cheat, as it would have devastating effects on the family
9) Tell my mom her children would not turn out like she wanted
10) Take the SATs again, apply to more (tougher) schools, and apply for more scholarships.

True

quote:
Christianity as a whole would be completely different.

Christianity would be taught through the torah, which is the old testement of the bible. No second covenant, no new testement; which happens to be written by: John, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Timothy, and host of others. But mainly the 12 disciples.

Jesus didn't even start the religon. His followers took care of that.

If I were to go back in time, I'd travel back to 6006 years ago just to see if that was when the universe was created. I already know it's not, but I think a little video footage of Creation not happening might shake people up a bit.

Then I'd whip out some aluminum and become rich.
