Wasn't te entire point that the Empire fell because there WAS no imperial bloodline? The only really awsome emporers were the Adopted Emporers, AKA, the Five Good Emporers.

I'd agree completely Euterpe, though I wouldn't use that language, but in ways, I feel sorry for Caligula. He was just completely crazy, and people portray him as a twisted tyrant. He was like Shaka Zulu. Just went off his cracker.

Well, I've always felt that Caligula is greatly misunderstood. Yes, he did some icky things in his time, however he was greatly insane. In our courts today, he'd probably be ruled as criminally insane, I think.
