I always feel bad for beggars. I'm sure there are lots of people who genuinely get stuck in hard times, but they get the reputation of being freeloaders.

always give money to the handicapped not to the people who could employ themselves..theyve just become used to begging cuase its the easy way out...

The problem with that idea is that even if you give them only food you are still providing them with an alternative - so if anyone gives them money, they no longer have a need to use it toward food. Unless everyone gave them food, there is absolutely no guarantee that it would work.
