yesh. there are gay guys here--but they didn't come out they got caught--screwin in the bathrooms!! ewwww. ok sorry that's just gross. but at my skool everyone f*cks everywhere so why should it be different for homosexuals? ok anyways they weren't beat up--just left alone. like far away alone. ppl just tried to stay away from them. it was kinda sad but they are still sweeties. and i mean now ppl can at least play basketball with them now, but they still won't bend over and get the ball...... anyways, if they want their own skool, let 'em have it. i really don't care. good for them. heh.

Actually Joey, only about 100 kids will go to the Harvey Milk High School (apparantly it's named after San Francisco's first openly gay city supervisor who was assassinated about 25 years ago).
"The school is an expansion of a two-classroom public school program that began in 1984. A gay-rights youth advocacy group, the Hetrick-Martin Institute, has managed and financed the program since its inception."
So it seems that this gay-rights group paid for the school's renovation. But, I'm sure, like any other public school, the tax payers' money will play a major role.
Anyway, I'm not opposed to this "gay-school," but I'm not for it, either. Kids shouldn't be segregated, because there won't be any safe-haven for them later on in life. But I don't see any other way to fix the violence problem against homosexuals in public schools. Meh.

I read a story today about New York City renovating a school JUST for gay kids - about 200 kids will be gay and go to school there.
And the thing is - which I do not agree with - is the fact it will be renovated with taxpayer money.
See, like school prayer, this instance would not even BE an issue if schools were all operated privately.
Still, I don't think taxpayers should pay for gold cross lapel pins for students in FCA. The same could be said for this latest case of providing money for gay-only kids.
It's called Harvey Milk High School. He was a gay politian or whatever?
Ya, anyway, there's my two cents.

That's why I didn't come out till I was out of high school. Of course, I didn't really have a sexual identity in Grade 5, but I know where you're coming from.
