lol it said "at least they go out there and do something instead of farting around on a message board like lazy bastards"

Still, it burns me up when people insult animal rights groups. To me they are the carriers of the Holy Grail.

but no hard feelings, i'm just snappy, speechwise and dresswise, lol

You seriously have a problem with Peta making animals feel more comfortable before we kill them? Wow. You know it's the least we can do for what we put them through.

Just because something can't reason like a person doesn't mean it can't feel pain. It still has a nervous system.

At least they made a difference instead of just sitting around on a message board. What have any of you done for this world. None of you have probably made as big of changes as Peta has and none of you ever will.

(ps i don't care if you insult peta but don't insult the differences they've made. that's a little fucked up. that would be like saying "haha make a wish foundation all you do is send kids to disney world but you don't cure them of cancer.")

It was a joke Wolfie, cool it. All I was saying is that they could have aimed higher. Then again, if they had it probably wouldn't have passed. And just so you know, I voted for Prop. 2. I'm glad it passed, but I wish it had done more.

And yeah, I haven't done anywhere near as much as PETA and maybe I never will, but we don't know that yet.

Just out of curiosity, what did your post say before the edit? I didn't read until today so I didn't catch it.

Good Job PETA! You have truly made a difference in the world today?

You hit the nail right on the head there. So funny and so true.

Animals have no rights according to the law everything in it's natural state follows which is kill or be killed, you get tough or you become lunch so when i kill an animal it's perfectly within both of our rights I am superior so I can kill and eat what ever I happen to want to make a meal out of and the beast is inferior so it has the right to toughen up so I can't kill or eat it or to served on a plate with BBQ sauce and and a nice tossed salad with baked potato

It utterly shocks me that people can be this shallow and heartless..honestly I'd rather go off and eata peson before I would could and shorten the population of an animal even more. What alot of people don't realize is soon their precious meat will be goon because of not enough involvement in animal rights..then u "superior" beings will be S.O.L....and quite frankly that realy shouldn't be the only reason to care abot animal rights...if u go back into history, think of everything animals have done for humans...and I'm not only talking about the cute cuddly ones either...I'm talking about all the animals u people take for granted....because it's them that really make the world go round. And I'm not just saying this...even tho I'm not fond of it, u know they do test on chimpanzees to give us the cure for diseases we have today?...so while ur high and mighty on ur peistole, how about u take a minute to think about the animals being sacraficed for ur precious fur, or "entertainment" or even food...Yes I have a lot to say about this topic becuase u have ur own mouth and can voice ur own opinion...but animals...they are the ones that need to be spoken for...and FYI animals do have feeligs...it's people I'm worried abot.

I don't know if it's true, or not, but that is a very interesting point.

Unfortunately, Snopes can't determine if this is true or not. Considering that all the sources showing that the dog really was starved are animal rights websites, I wonder if they're really that unbiased. Other sources say that the dog merely appeared to be starved, while it was actually fed when the exhibit wasn't open. It isn't clear whether the dog actually died.

While I can see someone doing this without qualms, I still highly doubt that there wouldn't have been an outcry. Then again, this didn't happen in the United States, as I assumed, so perhaps it is possible that people didn't care so much.

Is this a true story, or is it just rhetoric? This would never happen. There's outrage when someone puts a crucifix in a jar of urine and calls it art, so you'd better believe there would be outrage at a living dog being starved in the name of art.

there was a man who hired two boys to catch a stray dog.
they did, and he payed them.
he had a studio, for his art.
he cleared it, and tied the dog to the wall with a metal wire.
he charged people in the city to come in and see this "art"
he did not feed the dog, for his masterpiece was a portrayal of misery.
the dog starved in the studio, tied up with a wire.
the town officials, then, hearing of this man's "art" asked him to do it again, to represent their town in some competition.

none of the visitors tried to help the dog,
and he dies. this is what happens when humans feel the need to flex their supposed control over all things earthly.

For one thing, the government isn't about to steal away pets. Second, do you honestly think that street animals would be any worse off in a lab somewhere? At the very least, they'd be away from fights with other animals and they'd stop breeding so much, which would reduce the number of animals that are out on the streets.

Ok, most of you don't even get what animal rights mean(ampmaster). But some of you do. If you have a cat, or any animal at home, how would you like it if the governemnt came and took your pet away, for testing. You would want to kill them, right. So what if they took a animal off the street adn used it for testing. Would you feel the same way? Cause if you did care about it, you do care about animals having rights, but if you didn't care, than your heartless
