quote: Some of these people want to have animals BEATEN to death so that they
nope I think most of us shoot them for a meal quote: would you like to be beaten to death? or anally electrocuted? or even skinned alive
excellent spouting of animal rights nut job propaganda quote: animals have rights and feelings
Animals have no rights according to the law everything in it's natural state follows which is kill or be killed, you get tough or you become lunch so when i kill an animal it's perfectly within both of our rights I am superior so I can kill and eat what ever I happen to want to make a meal out of and the beast is inferior so it has the right to toughen up so I can't kill or eat it or to served on a plate with BBQ sauce and and a nice tossed salad with baked potato

animal rights are just as important as anything else going on right now. animals have rights and feelings just as a human would. would you like to be beaten to death? or anally electrocuted? or even skinned alive? to be made into a fur coat or a side dish. have you ever considered the thought that animals feel pain just as easily as humans can and do?

Ok, so abusing a pet is a felon, Visions. What if I had a pet grasshopper? What if I then pulled off all of its legs one by one and then its wings, and then drove a hot pin through its abdomen? Grasshoppers are animals. And it was my pet. That is cruelty to animals. A felon you say? I can go to jail for killing a grasshopper? Get real. Insects are animals too, look at any taxonomic tree. If you want to advocate animal rights, stop thinking only about the cute animals. You're being biased.

FIrst of animals don't have a similar DNA so if they find a cure it probably isnt going to be acurrate. How would any of you feel if you were to go through painful tesst to find a cure for FIV (the feline HIV). Think about that. A few years ago on the eastern US labador retrievers and those mixed with it were stolen many most suspect they were to be tested on like they were nothing. that is a crime. It's theft. I was a victim of this insanity she wasn't a year old yet how would you if in the future you had a baby that was kinapped for the well being of animals that the child would go through excruciating you wouldn't wont would you. my dogs and cats are my babies my best friends so just imagine how I felt if the suspicions were true can you imagine the pain emotionally I went through and the pain physically she went through or mite even still be going through and what about the testing for make up and shampoo is that more important than the well being of innocent animals maybe some of you need a reality check animals are just as important they will help you if you them they maybe talk or have opposable thumbs but they love all the same. Also we needed to reduce pollution for ourselves too

I always want to reply to luvabug. For one, abusing a pet is already a felon. You said "but its ridiculous to give them rights b/c they wont even kno they have any."..Well the thing is this keeps people from harming them. That's why it's not ridiculous. You believe abortion isnt right. But why give something that right that they wouldnt even know they had. See it's just what you said(thanks for making yourself into a hypocite). Once again human being or animal it's a life. So giving them rights is keeping them from being harmed.

I agree with Veganqueen..Animals should never be treated like that. Each day animals are tested on.Some are even tested on FOR THEIR OWN FOOD.Iams tortures animals day in and day out(www.iamscruelty.com)What good is that to a human being? Not quite sure if you have gotten the memo. But animals have feelings to they feel pain just like a human does that you believe is still ok. They feel so much pain and are injected with things that could and have killed many of them. Yes, you say just glad it's not a human being. Then again this was a life they took away without thinking twice about it.

I think animal rights are very important. I don't think it is right for people to mistreat animals, they do have feelings. People who hurt or kill another living being for fun need to get help. I don't really have a problem with people who eat meat, but I don't like meat, I'm a vegetarian. I think it must take alot of will power to be vegan.Animals are our friends

quote: but whats the difference between being veggie and vegan?
I'm assuming she meant vegetarian, which means you don't eat meat or by-products of meat (like gelatin, which is made by boiling animal bones, skin and other body parts). A vegan doesn't eat meat, dairy products or eggs or any other avoidable animal ingredient. Ethical vegans usually don't wear fur, leather, silk or wool; since animals are harmed in the making of them. I didn't have the time to look at all 19 pages of this so I don't know if anyone's already said this so sorry if somebody has. If you want to learn more about the reasoning and philosophy behind animal rights, read Animal Liberation by Peter Singer. It was the book that started the modern animal rights movement. (it was first published in 1975, it has been revised two times) Try looking for it at your local library. Also check out this website for more info on animal rights: http://www.animal-rights.com/Yes, I am an ARA (Animal Rights Activist) and a vegetarian BTW, just so you don't feel so alone
