Now if every episode was as great as the finale...the show would have probably been renewed. I really support the ERA...it will never be ratified though...

I love that show. I can't believe it's been cancelled. I think it's very unfortunate that the ERA has not be ratified.

And THAT my friends, is what I think takes me from Republican to Independent...I'll probably stick with the Republicans though...they tend to have more office seats than the independents...

I still don't get the whole marxist feminism thing, but I think that men and women should be protected by the same rights. Did anyone here watch the series finale of commander-in-chief? If so, that is the type of equality I would support... I am a feminist.

Marxism is basically the philosophical and social doctrine propned by Karl Marx, a German economist and philosopher. His analysis of society showed that the capitalist mode of production was entirely unfair to the workers because they were the ones that were doing all the work and the bourgeois class were receiving all of the money. Some would call it communism, others, radical socialism. Its philosophy is that of a history of class struggles. We evolved from a primitive communist society to our present day society (which is obviously not socialist because there is still wal-mart). It also uses Hegels dialectics to explain how history advanced. One class struggles with another and the outcome is a new society. Feminism, proposed by Voltairine de Cleyre and Emma Goldman, approach communism and socialism, without forgetting their feminist roots.

Lol - yeah, I had to get a better explanation from my professor after class anyway, but I didn't write it down so I'll try putting it in my own words: In equality, they want the same opportunities and compensation men have. As for freedom, there would be no constraint by the public dominion of the economic government and not be made to earn income if it isn't necessary. If that doesn't make more sense or you're still confused, I'll send my professor an email.
