I'm also homeschooled and many kids think I'm stupid because of it.

That's strange. A lot of people are under the impression that because I'm homeschooled I sit at my desk 24/7 and do nothing besides read War and Peace. It's rather odd.

I'm profiled against because I'm blonde. And I am not your stereotypical blonde, either. I am super smart (not to brag), athletic, and I hate it when people don't see me for me. The people in my grade who are brunette I feel are treated better.

I'm profiled for being a lesbian. when people first find out they don't believe me because I don't fit the sterotipical dyke. everyone knows that you can't be a lesbian with out extremly short hair plaid shits and Doc Martins. And yes that last sentance was ment to be sarcastic.

i just found out another way people are profiled by the kind of car you drive. Like take today my car needs some work done so i had to drive my project car that i have been working on for a few years(an 87 Buick G.N.) anyways i get pulled over for going 51 in a 45 zone. I'll bet i would never gotten pulled over if i was driving a car that didnt look "fast" just an ordinary beater that no one noticed. oh well the pig was cool anyway and just gave me a warning.

I have been homeschooled since i was 5.

And people are always looking down on me. Even my grandparents look down on me cause im not like cusin's. It hurts when people judge you people they know you.

I have been called: Stupit, No Life, Friendless,Etc. Not real bad words but they still hurt.

My parents tell me not to listen but it's hard, when it happends all the time. And it's to fit in at times.

North, that's not a legal reason to require a certain part of the dress code. Dress codes have to adhere to certain rules. Dress can't be harmful to the student or other students, disruptive to class, drug/gang related, etc.

If you're angry, DO something about it. They banned flip-flops last year because they believed them to be a hazard, and our student government fought back and got that rule repealed.

*Shrug.* Or just wear clothes that you didn't spend lots of money so they could ruin them for you. Which is weird.

Gosh. It's against the rules in my school to wear disdressed denim. This is peposterous. I wore a very expensive pair of pants to school the other day and got caught, and the vp forced me to put on a pair of pants from the locker room lost and found. This is his reasoning for not having the destressed pants, which he espouces to whomever will listen:

"People who wear cut up clothing are going to become adults who don't know how to dress themselves, and will be unable to hold a job because of sloppy dress."

So pretty much I'm going to become a whore. Now, my problem is the fact that distressed denim is a preppy fashion. I spent $85 on those pants that I was caught in. The people who are wearing cut-up jeans are those who care about their appearences and who, like me, spend a lot of money on nice clothing. Once they land a job, they will be spending five hundred dollars on a suit from Banana Republic, and going to white glove occasions. ::is extremely angry::

everyone is being judged these days, by everything...music, clothing, race. i mean it's stupid that black ppl can go and wear some weird ass crap and then a white person wears something from hot topic and he or she is called a freak. Now then, I'm one of those 'freaks' i wear w/e the heck i feel like, my hair is blonde and about shoulder length, i'm agnostic-athiest, and i'm danish. and a lot of ppl give me a hard time about it just b/c i dont like rap or i dont shop at abercrombie. i mean, who cares??? this is a diverse planet...get over yourself!!! I'm not profiled often. I wear entirely pragmatic clothing ($2-each pairs of pants from thrift stores, for example) and don't have "accessories" and I keep my head shaved bald. Thus, it is difficult for people to target me as being part of some "clique". When I do get profiled, it's usually "that weird loner guy" or something like that.

I profile people, not by their appearances, but by their values and their character. And yes, this will include PRACTICING religious folk (as in devout, and not simply in name) Jews, Christians, Muslims, etc. as I hold a set of core values that run in abrasive conflict with theirs, for example. Character is important too; I generally have low opinions of those engaged in wanton materialism in day to day life, as well.

I really don't think im my high school we had a whole lot of labels...but maybe I just didn't care. We did have the goths...but they weren't really goths. I mingled with everyone. I was very active in school so I was known throughout the school. I was labeled because of the long term relationship I was in, I couldn't get out of it and when I did no one wanted to move on from it except me. Labels are still used in college I see though. I use them myself when I get upset because some kids have it easier than others and most of them are getting their parents to pay for school for them. In that case I call them rich white girls.

I am profiled because I get good grades and I am white. People tell me I am "goth" and "evil" when I'm not. Sometimes it seems like it, though because people who I'm not particularly fond of will randomly come up to me and say something like "Hi, white hoe" and I'll say something back to them like "F**k you" and they'll call me evil. Once, in science I had to do a project with this boy and he said to me "sorry, I don't speak white". It really upsets me the way way people are treated because of race, religion, gender or something else.
