No, men are more dominant and superior.

The Rules of Play state:

"5. Disrupting the flow of bulletin board areas with vulgar language, abusiveness, repeatedly submitting the same content, explicitly sexual content, off-topic content or other conduct that may disrupt normal activities. It's not shocking, it's boring."

People are created equal, that doesn't make them equal as they live, I agree. Different jobs and appointed lives determine that. Does that make sense? I'm tired so I may not be getting my thougts out clearly.

Devie. Tell me about Joan of Arc. Source?

In truth, no one person is equal to another. Man or woman.

If we were equal, everyone would be in honors.

We wouldn't need leaders

It would be really boring in the world.

Should they be treated equally? Yes, most definitely.

Does that mean they are equal? No.

joan of arc, was, well, mentally insane. She was a complete nutjob. That proves that BOTH sexes can be insane! There are many insane, power hungy males in the past, but you don't see any females, no, because they weren't supposed to be important. Joan of Arc was a mentor for all of us females, showing us all that it's OK to be a nutjob witch when you're a girl.

did you know, that in the whome (sp?) before you are born, everything starts out being female, then if it's male, it becomes male, but it STARTS female. So the whole thing about "well, the first woman was made from man" is BULLSHIT. IF one sex was made from another, females would come first.

and what's the real difference between men and women? a few hormones and pheromones here and there? different... organs? That's basically all. Girls and boys are raised different ways. That's why they're TRULY different.

And the main reason that man is above woman is because of primal animal instincts, eg the biggest monkey gets the females and leads the tribe, because male animals were power obsessed. I guess that bit never wore off for men, even after all this time...

Such classes are naturally biased because the only people who will teach them are feminists.

I'm a man and a feminist. You deserve to be payed the same as me, given the same chances, and the same respect.

If a guy bitches provokes me and insults me I punch him, if a woman insults me and provokes me I punch her. That's how equal I think things should be.

There's to many poser feminists that only want half assed equality and use their status as women to provoke others in dominant positions with impunity. That's pure hypocrisy and perpetuation of gender inequality.

This is the women's right movement we're talking about here.

C'mon guys. The whole women's rights movement is so contradictory. They want to keep some stereotypes and inequalities, while doing away with others. They want the same wages and all that other stuff, but it's still "the man's place" to pay for everything and make the first move. You know, they still don't allow women in the military to be in the front lines of combat. You don't see them up in arms about that!

By lying to her superiors, correct? Sure she rose to standing and gained more power than women were accustomed to in that culture, but do the ends justify the means?

Yes, tried as a witch because she walked around saying that God/Angels had spoken to her and she completely upset the balance of the Roman CAtholic Church's power.

Though she was tried as a witch, her many accomplishments serve as something to admire. She was a woman in a high position of the military, especially in a time where women couldn't even enlist as foot soldiers. The woman completely altered history. Which, in my opinion, is something to admire.

Yeah, except the various Native American tribes where the women were considered the head of the family.... Oh and you know, Cleopatra and many other Egyptian women leaders.... Oh and there are the queens of England. Let us not forget Joan of arc!

I mean I'm not saying that women haven't been held back for many years, but its not as if women have never been given a chance to strive.

And let's not mention the current culture of America where girls are killing feminism daily...

I challenge you to name two great female inventors. Don't think to hard there are none because from fire on forward to nuclear fission men have done everything

this does not mean the sexes are not equal, just that when it comes to total points towards civilization men are up by a couple hundred points

(note this is just as much me being and ass as making a point, if your offended I invite you to go stop taking yourself so seriously

Actually there were many great women scientists/chemists/inventors - but it used to be against the law for women to hand in scientific papers, so they'd get their brothers/fathers/husbands to do it for them. Some were in researching groups with men - and when the men got rewarded for their discoveries they never thanked the women.
Examples: Beatrix Porter, Susan Solomon, Jocelyn Bell Burnell. Of course there are more famous ones such as Marie Curie - the first woman to win a Nobel Prize.
In 1966 only 8% of science and engineering PHDs were rewarded to women. 1999 was the last year that more men than women recieved their bachelor's degree in America.
