but he is right. a marriage is a religous cerimony and acordding to the bible it is only between a man and a women. therefore there shouldn't be gay marriages only unions. but the unions should have all the same benifits as a marriage

Whoa, that threw me for a loop. This discussion died and was resurrected almost exactly a year later.

Even so, that's a very interesting article. Just goes to show how many different interpretations there are about biblical passages.

This should be rephrased. It does effect the child's. It does NOT, however, MAKE the child a specific sexual orientation, which is what I know you meant. A parent's sexual orientation can make you less aware and more apt to hide it, that's about it.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. This child has therefore never been in a public restroom? What a bullsrap story.

You're intolerant. If you wouldn't be happy if your brother was gay, you don't really accept it. What would be so wrong if your brother was gay anyways? That he's different? How scary!

My male friend has 2 mothers. I think that he and his brother are perfectly capable of urinating.

Because you know, peeing while standing up is an important life skill. [/sarcasm] I'm fairly sure they make books for people like that... [/sarcasm again]

Manda, let me pose a question to you: what if that kid had only a single mom and never had a father figure to teach him to pee standing up? Would you then condemn single parents because "the kids become messed up and confused"? Well, then, let's just outlaw death because kids can get messed up when their parents die! See how stupid that argument is?

By the way, my dad didn't teach me to pee standing up. I learned it myself.

Also, I just thought I'd add that there is a difference between tolerating homosexuality and accepting it. Manda, as much as it pains me to tell you this (not really), you are intolerant. The fact that you don't want your brothers accepting homosexuality shows that.
