im not mexican. youre probably referring to latinos (which are not mexican only; cubans, clombians, dominicans, puerto ricans, venezuelans, peruvians, etc), so ill say this from being a puerto rican.

we stare, because, at least in my country, we usually smile at each other when we stare.

and we're "passionate" (actually just naturally *****). so if you're a hottie, and we find you atracttive, we're not very shy in making you at least have a clue.

and also, if you stare at us, if you make fun of us, if you say bull**** about us that is quiet serious, we will stare to at least make you stop. if you dont, duck because a fist (or two) will be flying towards your head.

now, if your being a racist idiot, which i hope, really really hope youre not, we stare to annoy you. and if you're my grandfather, or someone like him (myself for example) to figure out the best way to insult you. and if you keep it up, to try to rememebr where the machete is.

also if youre a racist, we enjoy staring at you for the fact that we know we will NOT be a "minority" in the U.S. in, to say much, 10 years.

They stare at you to figure you out. And I mean figure you out by them staring tells a whole story on you. I can tell what someone is think and how they are filling by staring. When they stare at you they are thinking about how dumb and stupid you look and how your ethnic background from your color is. And they try to figure all the wrong in that.
