I don't know if this has been discussed before. But what are your views on dating people outside of your race?

For me, it's no problem. I shocked my family a lot. But they got used to it. Racism isn't a problem with most of my family. My older family members are a little huffy about it but they have their reasons. My father is actually the only person I think would be against it. Although he's in an interracial relationship himself. So how about it? Does anyone do it? Has anyone done it? Can I get a witness?

LOVE IS LOVE.
the end.
God wnats us to marry someone we love. not someone who looks like us. if you show me where in the bible it says "MARRY SOMEONE WHO LOOKS LIKE YOU" i will give you all the money in my savings.
we fall in love with who people are on the inside. not what they look like. next time you hug a person that isnt of your race, close your eyes. See if they feel like their race. next, hug someone of your race, and see what race THEY feel like to you.
my parents dont believe in interracial relationships because of the society they grew up in it.
interracial relationships are OK.
just get over it.
so what, they dont look liek you?
you wanna marry someone who looks like you?
MARRY A FAMILY MEMBER.
then fer sure, you'll have a life mate that looks liek you!

I'm not against interracial dating. Its normal thing. As per my point of view there are many things which are more important than skin color of any person like personality, his/her nature, from which background person is coming, etc..

Even one my friends was using internet dating and he came in touch with few singles . Finally he found his match who is outside of his race. In the beginning there were some problem in his family but finally things are workout

i have nothing against it. it's not wrong at all to me. you find someone who you loves that loves you and you can't date them because they're black or white or whatever?? that's what's wrong. you should be able to date whoever treats you right and cares about you. you should date who you love.

I'm all for interracial relationships. I myself was dating a Navajo girl about a year ago. I'm glad it ended. Not because of her race but because of her personality.
FYI I'm a white male.

Interracial Dating... Hmm. Why people are stupid enough to think that this is a bad thing, I cannot say. But I CAN say that my entire family "breeds" with people of different ethnicities. But we don't talk about it because we are all people! People with different likes and dislikes! However different my family may look when we are together, does not matter. Because we are family in the end. Bound together by blood, marriage and love.

So one can conclude that I don't care. Not because if I didn't care I would be considered an outcast in the unspoken ways of my family. But because we are all human beings; we may look different on the outside but really, on the inside, we know the difference (hopefully) between what is important, and what really isn't..

when the usa bought alaska, they assimilated the natives, like they did with the entire usa right? so all the natives here adopted the mentality that whites are better than eskimos. my mothers tribe, the Inupiaq tribe, taught their young girls that they would not be taken cared of if they married a full blooded native, he had to be at least half white to be decent. for this reason my aunt and her highschool sweetheart never married their entire lives because he was full blooded. 7 generations, from my mom and up, were all half inupiaq and half white.

my bro broke that, his dad is hispanic. then me, my dad is black. me and my bother get treated funny by our non intermediate family members on my moms side. either REALLY good cuz they kinda pity us...like when there tryig SO hard not to offend you that they end up doing it anyway, or they just straight out diss you. my personal nickname from some of my cousins is daksibuk, which means black person -_-

but personally, i find interracial marriages and relationships beautiful. in a way it kind of deminishes hate, well, alot of the times. u cant hate your own blood. thats what my family had to learn when me and my brother came along.

well, this topic is facsinating to me. As i am a gril of an interacial family. My mother is whit and my dad is hispanic and has a bit of african american in him. When people look at me they think" oh look theres a white girl" but little do they know that i am not just american i am of many other natinalities. You cnat call some one WHITE becaus that the color you see on their skin. To the person above this repost im am very dissapointed to your response. There was some hatred between two families when my dad and mom married becaus of the diffrent cultutres, but they have overcome that.I think maybe you need to overlook the situation,as i know its your opnion but you might see life diffrent if you think this topic over.

Just don't revive this thread in a serious manner, and you can observe instead of being the sticky gooey mess that will be the subject of our publicized embarassing ritual... Smile

Not in the Bahamas. One of my friends say a sign on our trip that said "You must be this tall to drink" and had a line, the height of your average 10 year old. So unless you're a midget... And if you are, more power to ya, the FSM loves you. Amyone who got that referance, you're amazing. Really you are.
