wow this post came from a long time ago! I think if you love someone it doesn't matter. I am white, and personally, I would only date someone that is my race, but that is just my decision. It is not based on prejudice or racism. I'm completely fine with others dating people of different races. It doesn't bother me a bit.

Since human beings first evolved in Africa, it's pretty safe to assume we are all descended from black people.

I don't see why in this day and age race should make any diffrerence whatsoever to anyone. Date who you wanna date. We're all people, we all live on one planet we all live we all die etc. etc. etc. Whatever, who cares what colour someone is.

First let me start by stating something. In the bible, the tribes were told to keep to themselves because the other tribes worshipped idols. And if we all think and remember correctly..Moses married a woman not of the same race. Hmmmm.....
Second, race should not be an issue as we are all HUMAN. Race is usually just color, and I personnaly think that pigmented people are beautiful. Don't get me wrong, so are unpigmented people, but those are the type of people who tend to think themselves superior because of their color.
Last, mentally, I am colorblind and I find that seeing past race or color gets you farther in this world.

I know it can be hard to raise a child with two different cultures and backgrounds and traditions and stuff. But i think its a great thing. A kid whose parents are of different races has or should have a lot of positive features if raised properly. He would be more tolerant to people of different races. He would have a very rich culture. He would accept peoples of different backgrounds and ethniticies (sp?) He would know that love has nothing to do with races. He would know its not impossible for different people to make a relationship work. Of course anyone could be aware of that. Im from Venezuela. Of course i am not only one race. And hardly anyone is. At least in my country. Anyway I believe everyone came from 1 race and everyone is going to become of only one.

i personally have no problem dating outside my race...i am white and most the time i date black boys. My father unfortunatly is VERY racist...but my mother is the type of woman that if her child is happy so is she...i believe u dont choose to whom u fall in love with so age,race,or anything should NEVER be a factor...but thats me...

Okay here's what I think. We are all the same. Everyone needs to be with the one they love...whether or not that person is black,white,hispanic,ect. Some people get on here saying that it's not right that people of different races hook-up....I can see there point of view...I am not gonna lie about that...but obvisously they have no clue! I am not tryin to dis or dismiss anyone that says this but if you do believe its not right then think about this. Its like you fall in love with an incredible guy/girl! The catch being that your white and they are black. What do you do? Don't say that you are just gonna turn your back and miss out on what or who could possibly be the best thing in your life. I am just sayin that if you end up fallin for a person of a different race...go for and don't hold back.

I'm white. The only guys I've dated have been black and their the only one's I plan to date. White guys don't know how to treat a girl with respect. My boyfriend is from Africa so he's really dark for being black. No guy has ever respected me as much as he does. I would not change our relationship for the world. I agree with Bushsupporter in that sometimes, raising a child with parents of different cultures can be very difficult. This can provoke many disagreements withing the family, especially when the child reaches adolescence and starts staying out late, dating, and when older drinking or other "adult" activities. However, if the parents really love each other, as they should, the child will benefit from the best of both cultures. Anyhow, parents should teach their children universal truths that transcend physical features (i.e. race): be kind to others, be true to yourself, etc. The hearts of the parents mean more to a child than the colour of their skin.

Ok- there is so nothing wrong with interracial dating. I mean come on, what is the problem? If you love someone then you shouldn't be told you can't date the person. I mean people date different ethnic backgrounds everyday... why does it matter? My cousin is as white as white can be, irish/german, and his wife is dark and shrilankan... and they have the best kid ever! So if anyone says you can't date another ethnicity, their messed.

ok, from what i've read, some people (not to mention any names) have said it is against the bible to have a relationship with someone of a different race. Do you have the same bible I do? Mine has 10 rules, and "thou shalt not date interracially" isn't one of them.
]I don't see what wrong with it. It's very interesting to be with people of different backgrounds, because they may have other belifs, and can help you see the world in a new light.
Who cares about skin color? We're all the same inside. We're good, honest people, just trying to get ahead and live our lives. Race shouldn't matter. It doesn't to me. Or my family. My cousin's child is a mix, because her husband is black. He's the love of her life. And it troubles me that some people might not be able to experiance that kind of love, all because they couldn't look beyond.

Ppl who are against it are just lazy and dont feel like gettin 2 know ppl 4 who they actaully are. My mom only dates black guys[and i dont wanna hear no sh!t from any1 cuz i dont give a da.mn] she never had luck with the white guys she met, specially my dad. And if it wasnt 4 her interacial dating i would hate 2 say it, i might be racist. I went 2 a religious school and have only been in 1 class with a black person and that was in kindergarten. So all im saying is it made me oblivious 2 ppl's colors, so i will not have that race issue in high school
