The Bible says that we are all god's children and that god created everyone, right? And that god is all merciful- good so far? Then if you are against gays, you're against his creation. And please explain how having gay people in your congregation is so awful and threatening? If someone has already made these points, I apologize- but I really didn't feel like reading back 32 pages. Since Jesus was all about love and kindness and forgivness, if he were alive today- What would Jesus do?

I used to be methodist, but then I began disagreeing on certain points (i.e. gay marriage, Noah's Ark, what qualifies a sinner--pretty much everything) and I am no longer methodist.

oh paintbucket.... shame shame shame. i am a methodist and i frankly think that you are a hypocrite. personally i think Jesus would be ashamed at you saying that you want to turn ANYONE away from the church. Jesus encouraged his followers to accept ALL others and shame on you for turning your back on God's children.

I'm gay and I wouldn't want to be in a church ANYWAY but for those gays and lesbians who want to be a part of Christianity...that's their right. I would personally break down in a church because of all the hatred it teaches and you're a living example of it. You can't block someone from coming to church just because they're gay...they didn't choose to be that way. Pretty soon churches will ban people if they don't wear the right brand of shoes or something else stupid.
