im not an expert on the bible, but im pretty sure that it says that god made us all equal....so give gay ppl the rights they deserve. i also believe it says it is only god's place to judge others for there sins/wrongdoings so keep your judgements to yourself!

Ha ha, we wish.

Personally I think that gays should have all the rights that straight people have and that would include being a pastor. I think it's sick the way these peoples lives are being ruined just because they're different.

chucked out of her house and banned form the church

That happened here, except it was the pastor. He supported gay rights and was voted out of the church. He now has to find a new town, house, and church. It's outrageous.

obviously these pastors of yours arent truly bad people if they wanted to choose an occupation that deals with serving god. doesnt the bible say "love thy neighbor as thy self"? and jesus said "love them as i have loved you" so why not follow this teaching if you say you are a christian. when someone is "threatening to tear apart the church" (whatever that means) then you should pray for that person, not start a thread on youthnoise about it. and i really dont think that people are going to go up to their pastors and say "stop threatening to tear apart our church because you are a homosexual" i dont think so. i am not a methodist but one of my best friends is, and she certainly is a good follower of the religion, and i have NEVER heard her talk like that. please open your eyes about this "issue" and take a look at yourself...

Taste, are you aware that you spelled "congregation" wrong and used complete incorrect grammar throughout your whole sentence(s)?

You know, I could use this quote in some way to prove that female prostitutes are okay...

How will it effect your children? You obviously know little of the bible and its true meaning. I'm guessing you don't follow all of the bible so by saying everyone should choose the same parts is hypocritical. God also said not to judge, so you're being a bad christian.

Plenty of gay people are happy and they don't need you intervening. You should respect others.

homosexuality is gay in all senses. no matter if you think its a choice or not its still wrong because god said it was. it says in the bible i quote "neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders... will inherit the kindgdom of god." 1 corinthians 6:9-10 NIV that shows right there that transvestites and gays will be sent to hell no questions bout it. and bout sodom and gomorrah they were destroyed b/c of homosexuals and many other things but homosexuals was part of it. sorry if this hurts anyones feelings but the bible is real and true and what it says is real so if you have homosexual friends pray for them and try to change them or else after this life they won't be somewhere happy thats for sure

One of the best things I've ever gotten out of the bible is: Love the sinner, hate the sin.

Where in the bible does it say that, my dear? Everyone keeps throwing that around and suprisingly, I can't seem to find it anywhere in the bible.
