Was that your response to this title? It should have been. Suffrage is the privilege or right to vote. But apparently not many American (girls) know that. Watch this clip, then be honest: would you have signed this petition?

This guy was just ripping off the Man Show from like six years ago.

And they did it much better. This guy goes around being all "tee hee! SARCASM!" The Man Show got so many people to buy into it, not just stupid teenage girls who sign a petition for no reason without reading it.

The best part is when they convinced other women to help them and go around collecting more signatures. "Hi, I'm trying to help end the sufferage for women once and for all, would you sign this?"

Plus, it's not like this guy was seriously trying to get women to relinquish their right to vote. He was just humorously demonstrating the ignorance of young 'uns these days.

flying, there are worse cases out there. Such as in the town I'm currently living in, a group of anti-gay rights activists stood out front a grocery store with a petition to overturn the Commonwealth's decision, but told people (who are obviously in a rush) something completely different; I don't remember what exactly, but it had something to do with the way the store was run.

I think that's really screwed up. Your using it against them by not telling them what it means. Thts trickery and thats not right.

Back in my sophomore year of high school, a guy went around campus with an identical petition and got similar results. It was really, really hilarious.

Oh, and FOD? Where's the "I knew what it meant, and would have gladly signed it" option?

The movie, faer, is this kid who goes to Padua (an "excellent" private high school) and asks all the girls shown to sign the petition to end women's suffrage. For most of them he actually repeats several times and only once did a girl respond "No!" and another's boyfriend tell her what she was really signing.

I do believe that is hilarious. Awesome.

I can't watch these damn videos. My computer's speakers are broken. I wish there were subtitles on that thing...

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and say that I would support suffrage despite what others do or do not know about it.

...But I'm guessing this petition is about something else, in which case I would need to be more informed about it to say whether I'd sign it.
