quote: Except Freedom will have Risk as a body guard. No one is assassinating my Prince. Big Grin I <3 you Freedom. Big Grin
I'd do it. I really, truly would. It would be too stressful though. I would die of a heart attack, which my wonderful friend Risk would not truly be able to prevent. I was thinking about forming the Black Panther version of the whole movement... but that never really worked back in the 50's or 60's. It was the nonviolent resistance that gained the respect and dignity of black Americans. quote: If MA had waited a few years, I think that the rest of the country would have been more prepared to deal with the idea of gay marriage. Legalizing gay marriage in MA has hurt homosexuals nationally.
Hmm... I would say something, but I'd like this argument developed a little more before I rip my preacher to threads. That wouldnt' be a good idea before the wedding...

Egotistical? You have no right to call me egotistical. If I had known that you lived in Texas for eight years, then I wouldn't have said anything. Had you been more clear on who you were referring to, again, I wouldn't have said anything. You implied that you were talking about Texans in general, not just those who voted against gay marriage. Therefore, I apologize for bashing you. But don't call me egotistical. If you knew me you wouldn't say that to me.

Why do I always get slammed? Calm down, willya? First off, I wasn't talking about Texans in general, only those who voted against gay marriage. Second off, I lived in Texas for eight years. I have a right to bash it. Stop being so egotistical. It isn't always about you.

Kat, will you IM me when you can? I need to tell you something. I hate living in Texas, but I have to. For another year, I have to put up with Texas. Otherwise, I would be long gone.

Just remember everyone... (except risk I suppose) when you wake up in the morning, feel grateful that you don't live in Texas.

quote: Well, duh, it's not as if many of those bigots have PhDs anyways!
Um, excuse me? For your information, Clpo, I plan to go for my Phd in a double major of marine biology/biomedical engineering with a minor in chemistry. So keep the comments to yourself. I know that you've probably never really liked me on here, and basically I don't care. But don't make comments about Texas when you know nothing about it. I hate Texas, with a passion, but I have to deal with what goes on here. You making a comment like that makes you just as bad as us. Keep it to yourself, it was offensive and rude. I support gay marriage, but I can't change the fact that they have now outlawed gay marriage. Lose the attitude.

I like this quote: "Texans know that marriage is between a man and a woman...They don't need a PhD or a degree...to teach them that." Well, duh, it's not as if many of those bigots have PhDs anyways! I swear, if Washington does anything anti-gay marriage, I'm moving to New England, with or without my parents.

This saddens, but does not surprise me. I completely support gay marriages but I wonder if Massachusetts should have legalized gay marriage. As a result, there has been a remarkable amount of backlash against gay marriage. Now many states have constitutional bans. If MA had waited a few years, I think that the rest of the country would have been more prepared to deal with the idea of gay marriage. Legalizing gay marriage in MA has hurt homosexuals nationally.

Me and my mother were just having a talk about homosexuality and gay marriage. She doesn't support it, whereas I do. She told me she had been more tolerant of homosexuals before... well, just before. I think it was before she met my father, because, I feel bad saying this, but my dad is 100% homophobic. Influences blow. But, yeah. You say you wonder when a homosexual version of MLK Jr. will arrive, yet maybe you are him. [disregard.]
