If you're gay, then you're gay. If you're straight, then you're straight. But why try to change your sexuality? Obviously you were ment to be a boy or a girl. I just think that it's pitiful to look in the mirror and hate what you see wistfully thinking that you could've been a boy or a girl. Why can't you just be proud of who you are? If you want to be gay then that's your business. But why try so hard to change who you are? Confused Frown

People who feel "trapped" inside another sex's body are exactly that. What causes this is an extreme imbalance of chemicals in the brain. So if you are a girl who feels like a boy, your body is female, but the chemical make-up of your brain is that of a male. It has nothing to do with not being happy with your body. There is no choice involved, just like people with downsyndrome can't decide wether to have downsyndrome or not.

Shades: "If a man wants to become a woman, he must think he is actually a woman trapped inside a man's body."

...or he could be mentally ill

The only thing that I don't understand about Transgenders is what to call them. If it is a girl "trapped" in a guys body, do you call him/her he or she? Or the other way around. That is the only part that I have trouble with. About being gay and dealing with it and all that I just say whatever floats your boat. It doesn't really matter to me what your sexuality is. Unless you are a lesbian and you start hitting on me. Then I start to get uncomfortable.

personally I think its more of a choice of what you like. Society and tradition are the only ones sayin that guys cant wear dresses and girls shouldn't act butch. If they want to let them

I was meant to be a guy.

Because it's not who I am.

Do you want to have blue eyes? Well, if you do, you just have to deal with it, don't you. You have to deal with being gay. I am, technically, just because I like girls, but I'm not, really, because my brain is like a guy's. My spirit is a guy. I didn't choose the gender of my body.

The spirit doesn't choose the gender, it just chooses the life. I chose this life to learn a lesson. I have yet to figure out the entirety of that lesson, but I'm sure gender identity is part of it. I have to learn how to deal with being a weak human female. It's just a lesson I have to learn. My brain and body developed in opposite directions. I'm a guy in a girl's body.

Why worry so much about how others percieve themselves? If some guy sees himself as a girl, or if some girl sees herself as a guy, how does that concern you?
