Here's my answer: Religion & Government do mix, and they're doing it right now. The Bill of Rights prohibits the government declaring any religion the "national religion". No where does it say that elected officials cannot make decisions on religious grounds.

I'm going to start my own religion and make it the dominant religion in all of America. My book will say that its fine to be gay and lesbian and be married to the same sex. And I will behead anyone who disagrees with me. (And please breathe, I'm not serious. But if you ever hear of a religion called Greenleafism, then you'll know who started it.)

We usually use the same argument because you never answer it! If this is supposed to be a religiously free government, then why the heck is your only reasons to not have gay marriage (a LEGAL thing) is because of what a religious book says.

Your offense is getting old. You can't accuse us of repeating the same lines, when your only comeback is to bring up the seperation of Church & State.
