I understand where you are coming from about what happened before the taping. The police the boy and his parents are the ones who know what happened.(Even though there's no doubt AT LEAST one of these parties will lie.) But about the head slamming, that's different. You have to realize that the boy has a problem and violence should have not been used to try to solve it. To me it did not look like it was provoked.

God dammit. I can't stand this. You wanna know what the videos did show? Huh? They showed:
-King receiving 56 blows from a baton
-King taking 6 kicks
-King being left with 11 skull fractures
-Also BRAIN and KIDNEY DAMAGE
Is that violent enough for you, Marine16??? Cause for most that's going a little too far, don't ya think?
After the beating, the police didn't file correct reports.
The beating took place in L.A. White officers beating a black man. They moved it to about 20 minutes away from my house. A white suburb. A white jury deciding a case aabout white officers beating a black man from the city. Hardly seems fair, does it? Holy $hit, you're into research and facts, read about the **** trial and the hell it raised. Look at all the after-effects, all the riots and more killings. The outcome of the Rodney King trial was a disgrace. At age 5 and 6 I drove past it at least every week, watched it on the news every say, and can still remember it and the riots. And even at age 5 I knew this crap was wrong! Why haven't you figured it out yet? You make me so mad I am just......... ohhhh ya know I try to sound mature but I just can't raise myself to your self-conceited level, so this is it.

I don't necessarily believe that race is the issue here, but I guess I'll be hearing more about it on the news. It just sounds like a run-in with the cops. BUT THE POLICE HAD NO RIGHT TO PUNCH HIM!!! I have more of a problem with the disability. The kid has auditory processing delays. Doesn't sound like much, but it is. I can see why the kid acted so crazy. He has an extremely hard time hearing, processing, and then following oral instructions. He can't easily understand. And I don't care if the cops didn't know, they shouldn't be going around punching people like that anyway. I doubt the cop didn't notice this kid acting a bit disabled in some way.

And oohhh about that Rodney King comment... I'll get back to you on that. God I am so mad. You have me shaking. Stupid stupid stupid.

My best friend's relatives are interratial and I don't like the idea of whites thinking that they're better than other races. I, myself am caucasian and I was shocked at what I saw on the news. When are the racist days going to be over?...And what can I do to help that day come quicker?

This is just like Rodney King. On the Rodney King tape we do not see what King was doing before he was beaten. The videos failed to show King driving wrecklessly, endagering the lives of pedestrians and drivers. The video failed to show King resisting arrest. The video failed to show what King did to the cops before they assaulted him. However wrong you people think they were, a court of law found that they were not guilty of any crime. In our current situation the videos fail to show that persons actions before the police men were forced to use force. The video simpley shows a reaction that more than likley came from a very awful action initiated be the boy. As for the father, of course he will deny his sons actions. his son would face jail time, no father wants to see that. As for him slamming the kids head down and punching him. It was provoked. If it wasn't, find me proof.

MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION AT INGLEWOOD POLICE STATION!

Friday July 12, @ 10 am.
located at: 1 Manchester blvd.

Community residents became outraged after seeing video footage of
Inglewood
police officers beating a black 16-year-old. Police slammed the
teenager on the hood
of the police car, and punched him in the face.

This continuous brutality by LAPD has communities outraged. At a
press
conference/rally on July 9th, community residents, mothers and
fathers expressed
outrage as they condemned the injustices that haunt us every day on
the streets of
this police state. One women, a mother and resident of Inglewood
expressed said
"No more fighting fire with water! It's time to fight fire with
fire!".

After the press conference, a marched pursued into the city hall and
up onto the 9th
floor where the council room was taken over with loud chants and
angry
demonstrators waiting to hear Major speak on behalf of the police
beating. The major
expressed 'mourn' on behalf of the Incident and stated the police had
no justification
for their brutal acts. However this did not satisfy many angry
community residents as
their outrage couldn't be cooled off by another repetitive act of
"mourn" by a city
politician. One man confronted the Major as he was leaving, calling
him out for his
false character as someone representing the black community, and
"house-negro"
behavior. "**** you!" he said. "I just done serving 9 years in
jail!". The man
complained that the major wasn't doing anything but simply making a
speech to get
attention. Police brutality continues on daily on the streets of
Inglewood and Los
Angeles and another speech by the mayor isn't going to cut it for
many of those in the
community who are still in outrage. "I'm telling everyone not to vote
for your ***
anymore!" the man told the major before he exited the floor in an
elevator. "They've
been attacking us for over 400 years" said another man. "this
country, america is the
most violent country in the world".

The crowed then proceeded out to the front of the building where the
rally ended and
people dispersed peacefully.

COME FOR MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION @ INGLEWOOD POLICE STATION!

OUR STREETS HAVE BEEN HIJACKED BY AN ARMY THAT CONTINUES TO
REPRESS OUR COMMUNITIES EVERY SINGLE DAY! IT'S TIME TO FIGHT BACK!
STOP THE BRUTALITY! STOP THE RACISM! RECLAIM YOUR STREETS, RECLAIM
YOUR DIGNITY, RECLAIM YOUR FREEDOM!

I think that this may have started out as a racial thing, but once the cop realized that this kid was handicapped, it just allowed the cop to take more advantage of the kid. For whatever reason the cop decided to beat up this kid, it was wrong and so unnecessary. Unfortunately, things like this do happen more than people realize...I don't think it's fair to say like, oh those **** policeman they do more harm than good, which I kinda feel some people are saying. Police officers do a lot of good at trying to protect our society, and of course in any group of people their are gonna be the "bad guys". It's unfair to say that all policeman are like that, or to say it's all the LAPD fault, because, hello? this happens in more than just L.A. people!! It happens all around the country!! Anyway...whatever the reason for this beating was, it was unfair and unjust the police officers involved should definitely be punished and maybe this will help open the eyes of some people who believe that racism or prejudices in general don't exist, because they still do.....

supergirl: i still think it could have been a race issue.there was no sound on the video tape. there could have been many racial things sad to the teen.(im not saying this incident was but racism still exists). don't you think the officer noticed that he was mentally challenged and decided he could take advantage of the even more because of his condition?

artisticKnowledge: i agree with you as always. smile

To everyone: did you all notice that there was a black cop in the video but was standing in the background doing nothing. i wonder what that was about. hmm........... confused

I think that cop should go to jail for the rest of his life. Attack a disabled kid and making lies about how he beat him? thats so rude. This guy is crazy. Why attack a teen? I'm mad and someone should do something about some cops. They are cops that are f***** up in their head. mad

It's awful, of course, however, not that surprising. (It was the LAPD, go figure!) Just shows more corruption. Welcome to the USA.

Yea, the same officer has also beaten several other people, not all black, and they are coming forward as well. It isn't anything new, quite a few officers are like this.

Although I haven't seen or heard about this, I think it's the most awful thing. And I can believe it to. I CAN'T believe though that people still haven't gotten over the whole racist thing!!! They need to grow up and get a life. This also brings another question up. The polices' motto is " To protect and to serve." it might as well be " To to beat up and to leave hangin'". mad mad mad mad mad mad

"Hey, did you guys hear about the white California police officer who assaulted a black sixteen-year-old developmentally disabled teen?"

Why does race matter? Do you actually think the beating was racially motivated?

I personally, just think some cops are *******s, and will beat a majority of people, if they feel it is right. Power-tripping *******s.
