I have been having some issues lately trying to figure out who my true friends are? After considering everyhting i dont know what a friend is or if i have a friend in the world. It seems as if all i have is acquaintences. All i am asking is how do i recognize who my true friends are and those who are there just to benefit from an acquaintnece. I just want to know if i really have anyone out there that cares about me like a friend should. I never really have had a really close friend and i just wanted to see if i could figure out what a friend is!!!

I have a best friend now of more than 10 years . And we have our fights , jealousies we're pretty competitive too . But thats what friendship is - its not perfect but we're still together despite everything .

honesty, finding that true friend is a one in a lifetime thing, you share a special bond. its not a matter of trust, or how well/long you have know eachother. I believe a true friend is someone you have chemistry with. You may not have found this person coz your net may be too small, you could be a raving sports loon but your ideal true friend could be an introvert chess player!. like Rugar said "it takes a special person to be a true friend"

However the way to find out if your mates are your true feiends , you should talk to them , it could be you've just matured and grown apart from them.

I have a best friend, we've been friends for about 7 years now.
If I just need to talk to someone cause I'm having a really bad day I can call her and she'll listen and help me out. It's the same way for her too if she just wants to talk or she's having a bad day she knows she can call me and I'll listen.

A true friend is someone who doesn't care who you are or what you've done they are all there for you.
It takes a special person to be a true friend. Not everyone can be a true friend.
