American women prefer to date blacks/hispanic over white/asian and it doesn't make any sense. In almost all countrys outside America and western europe, women usually date guys with money and power which is how it usually occurs in ancient history. The kings/emperors gets all the pretty ladies and the poor gets the leftover.

It basically says that Russian government is trying to pass a law that would prohibit poor white russian women from marrying chinese men for reasons to keep the "purity of the russian race." So, why is it backwards in America?

I think the whole thing is "backwards". Why in this day and age a woman would want to marry a man just because he is rich and powerful is beyond me. And I don't think it's fair to make a sweeping generaliztion like that. I'm a white female and I don't really have any preferance. I'll date whoever chaches my eye. I've dated a person from almost every race, & would never dream of marrying for money. But I understand you are talking about Russian women, and things are harsh for them over there. I personally think that they should start a revolution, those women. I heard on one of those trashy talk shows the other day that the ratio between men and women in Russia work against the women. They out number the men! (It was a special on mail-order brides. That was one woman's reason for becoming one.)
