Atheists don't believe in God because they are rebellious? No, they don't believe in a god/ after-life because they watch the mother-effing discovery channel. To them, logic and physics are what should guide our journey through the universe, not some 'omnipotent being' that no one has ever seen and there is no record/ proof of except for a book written by crackpots.

People stay christian because of how they were raised. If you truly researched christianity as well as numerous other religions and then you make your choice, well, congrats, you made an informed decision.

Unfortunately most people are christian (or whatever religion they are) because of their parents and the society they live in.

Anyways, if a kid really wanted to 'rebel' against his christian parents he would be a 'satanist' (the type that just does everything opposite of the church). You noobs don't even know how to rebel properly.

But there are rare occations in both sides where a child has grown up and tried to set an example for their parents by becoming a christian or rebeling till the day they die and going against what they were taught as kids and becoming atheists both sides need to understand this.

I find most atheists are in fact atheist not from personal research or spiritual intuition. But rather as some form of rebellion from the mainstream culture they live in. I know this to be true because I am a Christian who became Christian from personal research and spiritual intuition. And when approached by "atheist" who find me to be a "brainwashed" or "mindless drone", I find they know little to no reason (reason defined as logical conclusion) as to why they are atheist and are no different than the labels they give to others.

Take for example your argument on science disproving religion. Especially your "thousands" of years comment. Clearly uninformed and lacking any true basis to make a real and valid argument and have left us with no reason to believe that your claims about religion are true.

Honestly though, I agree with Wolfie. The reason that some people consider Christians to be stupid for being Christian is b/c most of them have no knowledge or interest whatsoever in any other religions.

Most Christians are only Christians b/c their parent's are, most atheists are atheists (against their parents' wishes) b/c they have researched several different religions and have their own beliefs.

Duh. I didn't create myself. A sperm and egg combined together and underwent the process of meiosis. Created a new human dna code, which in turn caused mitosis and more cells to be created. This happens in the mothers womb over a period of nine months until the baby is born. there.

wolfie- maybe the reason there aren't a lot of atheists out there is because God doesn't believe in atheists. Open your eyes and see that you are real and everything around you is real, therefore God is real. You can be an athiest if you want, but it's better for your sake if you stop being stupid and acknowledge the fact that you were created, you didn't create yourself. Some things are real whether you believe in them or not.

Most kids are stupid and generally follow whatever religion their parents are or what political party they are in. There aren't a lot of atheist families out there... There aren't a lot of atheists. Most of them do share different beliefs than their families because they went out of their way to research religion and science (this is how most people become atheists). This is why some of them say "christians just believe what their parents believe." This is true for the majority of them. Why else do you think christianity, judism and muslims have had such a cult following for hundreds of years?
