Standard accepted truths? Is that like conventional wisdom? Sorry, conventional wisdom is often wrong. I actually find nothing wrong with the first picture you posted. She looks fine to me. The third is obviously your "ideal" woman, so I won't bother saying anything about her. So, 1 and 3 are attractive. As for 2, well, her hair is what scares me most, so she's not that attractive. Maybe if she didn't look like she'd just been electrocuted...

I know this is a pointless exercise, but why do you guys reject standard accepted truths? I mean, is it really wise to demand that realities are false, because it would be more pleasant were that so?

As has been said, those are opinions. Some people like larger mates. Some people like skinny mates. Piercings and large noses aren't always turn offs. They may be such for you, but as the majority of us will be relieved to know, your opinions aren't our opinions.

For example, just because you find someone who dresses as a goth ugly, doesn't mean everyone else does. Some gothic people are highly attractive, and definitely not ugly.

Beauty has to do with the proportions of your facial features. If you don't have those proportions, you're more likely to be seen as ugly (at least by people who care overly much about how other people look). Of course, everyone has their own definitions of beauty, and that's probably what matters more.

Ugly...all people are ugly when they say hurtful, mean-spirited comments to others, so all the old phrases like: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" or "Beauty is only skin deep" are true. Cowardly, insecure people say mean things to build themselves up. They can't feel good about their self image if they don't knock you or others down. These bullies could possibly be victims of verbal abuse. Life can be a vicious circle, but You can stop the ugliness in your life by always saying kind, uplifting things to everyone around you. Use the Thumper rule: "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

Not only humans, but ALL animals discriminate. All animals are prejudiced.

One can be as jelous of beautiful women as they like, they're still be beautiful. One can convince onesself that ugly people aren't actually ugly, and that its just a mean thing people say. But they'll still be ugly.
