**** it didn't post the first time. I wrote about three paragraphs but I'm too tired for that again Your argument is excellent Celtic, but I wanted to add something. Nothing major, just a point of reflection for all those bible-thumping homophobes: Christians and Jews hated the Romans. Romans' political and social rites of passages often included what we would now know as a form of homosexual contact. Because of their hatred for anything traditionally Roman, they would also condemn any sort of Roman behavior. Eventually this was written into an implied form in the Bible. It had and has nothing to do with God hating homosexuals, it's more of a hate for the Roman Empire.
