quote: 2: Why they are always acquitted of their crimes?
They aren't. You mentioned Abner Louima yourself. There were severe convictions in that trial. If you would look behind the sensationalized crap, you'll see that cops's aren't just brutal to blacks. It's about equal, there is plenty of video of cops beating up white guys. It's just that when your resisting arrest your going to get beat up. As for the Diallo case... The man was in a bad neighborhood, and the cops were nervous. If I remember right an officer had been killed in the vinicity recently. Thus when a suspicous man is told to freeze but proceeded to reach into his jacket and pull something black out, it is understandable why the police fired. Yes, it was a gross mistake on the officers part, but with five cops with guns trained on the man, 41 shots, about 8 shots per man, is possible if the situation is heated. Bullets richoceted back at the officers, and they thought they were coming under fire. In any case the man was only hit 19 times out of the 41 at close range. This tells us that this was not a pre-meditated "exectution" as so many people call it. Just a horrible, horrible mistake. They did not deserve to be convited for murder, and therefore were aquitted of those charges.

Police Brutality has been going on for years. Since Blacks were freed in the 19th century up until today, the people that have the responsibilty for "maintaining public peace and welfare" are the same ones who've been complicit in many KKK lynchings and acts of terrorism.
There is just no excuse for the excessive means of force, brutalization, and diabolical acts of horror that many men of color have endured! Come one, raping a man (who was without any weapons) with a broken broom handle is unconscionable!
I don't understand why when these devilish terrorists (aka police officers) are brought to trial 1: They are tried before an all white jury, whom have no cultural connection with the officers' victims. Or understanding of the prevalence of these acts 2: Why they are always acquitted of their crimes? Somebody explain this nonsense to me. Do white people really believe that the cops are that angelic? that they see no wrong in their brutalizaiton of BLACK/BROWN people?

They shot at time 41 times. They hit him 19 times. I am sorry but thats funny how someone could shoot someone 19 times before they thought it was safe to stop. I mean that sucks but 19 times is so excessive that its funny. I have a picture in my head of some dude just laying on the ground with 2 bullets in him, then some cops shoot him 17 more times just to be sure. It doesnt suprise me though because cops are the biggest peices of **** on this planet (even lower then Osama). I have quite a few experiences with cops and from them I pray they die in the most horrible way imaginable. YOU DESERVE IT YOU MOTHER F UCKRES!

it disgusts me to know that those racist bastarrds were let of the hook for shooting at a man 41 TIMES. 41 TIMES, people? thats insane. He didn't even have a weapon!! Godddamn! what is going on with this world. I betchu, this is not the last time that this happens to someones brother, or son or husband or father..
Does anyone rememeber Abner Louima? the Haitian man that was beaten sensless, and raped by the NYPD. Yes, raped with a broken broom handle. THis is intolerable, and it hurts my heart deeply.

I think the police were definately racist and should have gone to prison. Just because you wear a badge doesn't give you the right to murder people and get away with it. It seems that throughout most of the world, including the U.S., those who inforce the laws don't have to follow the laws. Amadou Diallo was shot 41 times, many of those shots went through his feet, which means that he was already down and they continued to shoot him. Thats not law enforcement or justice, it's murder.
