This post is dedicated to all those women who confuse being a feminist and being a feminazi.

First I'll define them both as I see it:

Feminist- A woman who wants to be treated equally and to have the same opportunities as men while being judged on the same scale. Good for you feminists.

Feminazi- A woman that wants to be treated equal to men, but doesn't want to be judged by the same standards. A woman who wants to be one of the guys, but still wants to be able to claim harrassment at every turn. Bad nazi... bad.

So I ran into an issue with a whole bunch of feminazies, see in the Air Force and other branches of the military MEO (military equal opportunity) is grilled into every female, so therefore they get this idea that all men are trying to insult them and harass them... not true. Thing is that they want to be treated equally but at the same time dont want to be judged on the same scale... for example a female was sitting with me and my friend at dinner and she made a comment about having sex in a particular place, and was making crude sexual comments and rubbing my friends leg (he's married) however when my friend said something along the same lines she apparently became offended. She didn't tell us that she was offended, she never said anything like that, but ran straight to the MEO office claiming sexual harrassment... in other words she was trying to get us into trouble. Now at the same time this Feminazi who claims she is a feminist works on the weekends at a strip club.. go figure, I didn't think that feminists liked porn because of the offensive light it shed on a female.

Men beware, because you too may get screwed by such a woman, you cant be too careful these days so keep your situational awareness up... good luck.

And then, if they lean over, you can sometimes see their breasts falling out. It's GROSS.

I've got news for you Hydrok: Most women who don't wear bras, look like they have droopy balloons underneath their tops. It's disgusting.

Of course there are biological differences and gender inclanations and roles. Fine. But these shouldn't ever confine or define a woman or man, for that matter. (WIthin anatomical limits, granted) Smile

I'm just dandy with traditional femenine behavior unless the girl is sacrificing her self for the purpose of a man's or society's standards.

I think that about covers it.

See i never saw what was so bad about that.

That's because you're not a female. It's just stupid!

EWWWWWWWWW! I can't stand the idea of going around bra-less. It'd be so uncomfortable, and painful and icky feeling.

I'm not (or was not) offended, I was stating my opinion, just like you were.

I guess you missed the part that said that you rarely ever see it happen. I don't stereotype, atleast I try not to. So before you attack something I said and get offended by it, maybe you should read everything in the post.

I think women are not equal. Like hubbabaloo said, we are made differently for a purpose. I'm all for equal pay for equal work and an equal job the work place (if we can produce the same quality of work) But we are not equal. Men and women should be treated differently because we act differntly. We think differently. Basicaly, we are different. I think more women need to realize that. They want to be equal but yet they still expect men to pay for dinner when they're on dates, and to open doors for them and to pick them up and meet their parents beofer a date. If we're supposed ot be equal, why don't the women pick up the guys one night, then the men drive the next time. But you'll rarely ever see that happen. So what I guess I'm saying is that if you want equality, expect to be treated equal, and then you have to act the way you expect to be treated.

Worth, there's a name for that fear of labor pains...but yeah, the whole thing of having children in general terrifies me.

i see myself as only a semi-feminist maybe others see me as a whole one im not sure but i don't care either way. im proud to be a woman/girl (im only 17) and i love seeing female warriors in history and movies and such. (for example i really like the character in Troy who fell in love w/ Achilles, i don't remember her name...something w/ a p.., because she had the courage to stand up for herself and to fight back even when luck was not on her side) These women are very empowering and are good role models for girls of all ages. anyway ive never heard of these feminazis before and i definately would not classify them as feminists.

gender roles

let me go back to this statement. i don't believe in gender roles such as women being the caretakers of the children and men being the sole providers. obviously there are things that one gender can do and the other cannot but look at gay relationships. a couple of the same gender can successfully raise a child either through invitro or just simple adoption.
barriers are just meant to be crossed.
and as long as feminazis don't take over men won't have to worry about defending their masculinity.lol
(by the way i want to adopt also...y bring another child into this world when there are millions suffering)

Well, I'm an only child and I like it a lot. So I was planning on only one. And I was planning on adopting that one.

But (a) my boyfriend wants one that he created, yet I still want to adopt---therefore, 2 (b) I think it would be nice to have both a boy and a girl, (c) he wants more than one, (2) I definitely don't want more than 2 since I like being an only.

Celtic---I thought I was the only one with that fear! I have this insane fear of not only labor pains but of all the building up to it and the aftermath. I'm only looking forward to being able to eat anything I want. That's why I was only going to adopt. But I can understand why my bf wants one he created and I kinda do too.

I'm going to get a good job that requires years and years of me being in college. By years I mean perhaps at least a decade. I'm fine with that. I want that.

If I marry someone, which isn't sure, he'll have to understand that my extreme fear of labor pains will be the cause of my wanting to adopt children instead.

That sounds like me. And those are some awesome plans. God, I love Alice in Wonderland...

I'm going to major in English (perhaps double major in philosophy or religion, I haven't decided yet) and earn my doctorate for that field. Is there such thing as a double minor? Or a triple minor? Because I want to minor in creative writing, journalism, and music. I know, I know...I have too many interests!

I intend to be a high-school teacher throughout graduate school and once I earn my doctorate, become a professor at a university (preferably N.C. State since Raleigh is where my bf will most likely be stationed).

I also plan to eventually publish some of my writing. And be a free-lance writer for a newspaper.

And I plan to have a lavish house with my now-boyfriend (who will be proposing to me sometime between 2007 and 2008---he told me so) and two kids---as boy and a girl. I'm going to have one and adopt one.

Ta da. I shall be busy.
