I dont know why you are so angry. Look at it this way. The only thing you should be saying to me, a white young woman, is THANKYOU! If the "white devil" hadn't broughten you over as slaves, you would still be on that island. Perhaps the education level would still be the same, but now look at the freedom you have.

Ok, this entire post is ignorant...I'm an 18 year old African American male, Yes I live in urban-america, but I don't let my surrounding influence who I am. I think for myself and have my own views on things. I graduated from High School, I'm taking classes at a local community college, I work...Never had a police record(and it's goin' to stay that way)...I don't agree with any type of supremacy, black, white, green or brown. Supremacy only further extends the stero-types of an group and I won't participate in it.

Come on man we can't use this anymore more, young black men don't have jobs cause they choose not to have one (unless you've been in the sysytem), but that still doesn't stop you. Take something you're interested in, and make it work for you, and help the others in your environment.

We don't kill each other off because white people won't give us jobs, some of us do what they do because they want to or they can't do for themselves. If you can't take care of your ownself, how do you expect somebody else to do it for you?
Yes some blacks live in the ghettos, but that's your choice to do so. I should know, I was raised in low-income housing in Norfolk,VA. I know and see what goes on, but my father made up along time ago that he didn't want me and my sister to stay there, so he worked 2and3 jobs and got us out, and paid his way through school to better himself in the process, so don't tell me I don't know.

I totally resent that. That is such a racist remark. Your judging a race just by something small you see in your town. Sure some black people don't make smart choices, but if your going to take that route that's like me saying that all white people are canables just because of all the whit people we see taking part in that behavior. Exactly, attitude and perception is/are everything! You could be thinking: poor me, my ancestors were enslaved. And blame others for your life nearly 200 years later. Four years ago versus one hundred years ago. I definitely see the connection. September 11 is still very much a part of many American lives. The families that were affected still have to deal with it at the present time. Of course the "whoa is us" act is annoying, but should America "get over it"? No.
Though, honestly, people shouldn't "get over" slavery either. I don't think anyone has the right to ***** about how terrible slavery in America was, or how terrible white people are for enslaving Africans decades ago. However, in Africa there still IS slavery. Maybe they should direct their anger towards finally ending the horror.

Are you trying to tell me it's not true? The black males at my school have the highest drop out rate. There is a lot of gang violence in my city that involves black men. Those two subjects have nothing to do with each other. As an african american myself, i dont agree with some of what you had to say. True we were in slaved by white people, but you calling them "white devils" causes you to oppress yourself. Black people stay down cause they don't know how to get off the old stuff, and work to make themselves, us, better people. WE KEEP OURSELVES DOWN. Don't blame our problems on others hen we have so much to do with the problem. It's all in our minds.
It is all history ampmaster. For some reason it is the way of this land to be known as what people like you used to be, what people of your color used to be. That is it, it is simple. It will never change. I think it is ludicrous, though, that asians, and latinos, and blacks can be prouder than proud about their cultures history, and what they have gone through, but when a white person is proud to be english or proud to be canadian or french, or even just white it is awkward. It is so awkward that it is disliked. And not respected, and not apreciated, but shunned. I hope you all know why of course... that is sad.
