In 2003 there were 17,013 people that died in alcohol-related crashes. Two-thirds of those people were fourteen years old or younger. Not only is drunk driving dangerous, its illegal. Each and every ear, the drunk driving accidents cost more than 10 million dollars. Think about what we can do with all of the money. You may not have gotten caught drinking and driving yet, but there is a chance you will. If it is getting pulled over by a cop, getting into a car accident due to drinking, or someone calling the cops if you are under the drinking age. Stop and think about the consequences of drinking and driving. If you plan on drinking make sure you have a designated driver or money left over for a cab. Think of all of the people you will hurt if you drink and drive (you) or passengers of your car or hurt or die and hurt or the other driver or passengers of another car. You would hurt your family and friends if you die. You would hurt the family of the hurt or the dead. In one night one live is ended and another could be shattered because of drinking and driving. An estimated 1 million people are injured because of these kinds of accidents. Eating will not make you sober. Neither will a shower. These are just MYTHS. No two people are alike. Someone will not react the same way as you do. Over 5.000 teens do not know that you can die of an overdoes. 47 percent of teens say that they drink because they have nothing else to do. If you have nothing else to do go out and volunteer. You can volunteer at a lot of places like Habitat For Humanity. Or even a soup kitchen. Volunteer at a teen help center, or at the Boys and Girls Club. Be a big sister or big brother. There are so many things that you can do rather than drink. If you are with someone who is drunk and they are planning to drive and you are not drinking and do not plan on it, take their keys. In Indiana if you drink and drive your first offense is having your license suspended for 180 days. You can also get ignition interlocks, which prevent the offenders from driving their car. Under 21 the BAC is 0.02 in Indiana. For people who are 21 and over it is 0.10 in Indiana.Please before you drink and drives think. Every 15 minutes someone dies due to an alcohol related collision.

"alcohol-related" crash statistics are misleading. An "alcohol-related" crash does not necessarily mean the driver of the vehicle causing the crash was drunk. The driver of the vehicle not at fault might have been drinking, or even a pedestrian involved with the crash might have been drinking.

In every .5 hour, there is one carcrash. and yes, you can check my stats. Yikes, that's too much to bargain for.

Drinking a can of beer while your under 21 is also illegal. This lets them do whatever the hell they want when it comes to BAC. It's not about whether you're drunk or not, it's about whether you've been drinking at all or not.

See, now I know you're BSing because Listerine has isopropyl alcohol in it, which should not show up on a brethalyzer. That stuff is gone minutes afterwards anyway. Also a dose of cough syrup would in no way make you blow a .01. That stuff is about 10% ethanol and you take a teaspoon or two of it. Unless you're drinking the stuff to get a buzz from it. Then you're just a cheap moron.

Those PSAs can be scary. I don't like the scare-tactic. It doesn't really work. The thing that works most at our age? The "coolness factor". Just look at how successful tobacco companies have been at gaining customers, but how many do they lose? But of course, I do agree with the thought of PSAs about it, though I do think that you put this in the wrong section.
