i'm not here to say that censorship is a good thing. that's the absolute last thing on my mind, but there are certain things that need to be allowed into consideration.
i'm completely in favor of rating things for content. but where rating borders on editing, that's where i draw the line. it's not fair to the artist, or to the people who want to enjoy the product. but putting a rating or advisory sticker on some things might benefit parents. imagine if you took a nine year old to a movie you thought was accetable to see for his/her age. but the film turns out to be more violent than you expected. a way to not waste money on tickets, and to also not let your kid see something they shouldn't be seeing at their age would be to put a rating on it, and say why it's rated that way.
anything past labeling something, i'm against.
