beastie: go to religioustolerance.net. They have a lot of good, non-biased , explanations of alot of different religions. There are also plenty of other sites that have a wider seletion. ( i think one is www.belief-o-matic.com) just go to a search engine and i'm sure you can find alot.( the belief-o-matic site also has a test you can take that matches a religion with your beliefs). Even if you don't want to change , the sites are very interesting, they erase all the rumors and prejudices about certain relgions, and they really help you to be more tolerant of religions. I encourage everyone to go to these sites. I was unhappy being catholic for the same reason, beastie but i went to the these sites and now realize that i am mostly a Unitarian Universalist. After i took the quiz, i researched the top five religions on the list and found out that the quiz was accurate. i really was 100 % U. U. Just trying to help!

I'm a seventh-day adventist. Except that recently I've been noticing some things about my church that I don't really agree with. Like we aren't soppused to go to the movies, but we can rent that same movie and it's okay. Also, they believe that homosexuality is evil, and I can't agree with that. I'm still with my church, though, because I can't find another that I agree with more on other things that are very important to me.

If more people could be understanding like a lot of you guys, there may not be war EVER. Yes, this is just religion and there are many other differences between people, but by educating others about your religion or about yourself, you are bridging a gap between many people. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

i'm jewish and i love being jewish, although i don't agree with alot of the things i'm supposed to. for instance, i'd chose evolution over creation anyday. Some of the jewish morals that i'm supposed to believe, are really difficult concepts that don't make complete sense to me.

I've been going to church for a very long time now but when I first started going things did not make since to me at all. I used to think that alot of the stuff was humanly impossible but you have to realize that my God isn't human he's supernatural that's what makes me believe he is capable of all things.I have respect for all other religons and I try to learn as much as I can about every religon.
May "God" bless all of you!!...

i'm an independant monotheisist( meaning i believe in one god but what form that god is or any other of my beliefs are only mine and do not fit into one religion and nor will i conform to an organized one and forfit my original beliefs. However, so i can attend service, i plan to go to a Unitarian Universalist Church when i turn 18. (my parents are strict catholics and don't know i have switched.)

I'll give you some of the terms for various non-religions Atheist- One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods. Deist-The belief, based solely on reason, in a God who created the universe and then abandoned it, assuming no control over life, exerting no influence on natural phenomena, and giving no supernatural revelation. (most of our founding fathers were deist). Agnostic-One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God. One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism. Most Scientist generally fall under these beliefs systems, but I'm not saying all.

Materialist But I also share some of the Asian philosophies, in particular having to do with energy. Also because I was raised in a scientific family, I believe in reincarnation to some extent, because ultimately are various compositions, compositions being a very light term, will go into something else

Roman Catholic so that would be Christian.
By the way I've been wondering what exactly is an Atheist??? Are they Christians or something else or all on their own??? Are they a lot like Christians if they aren't them??

i am a...wiccan and witch. i belive in god, but that there are many different ways to interpret god and there are many different versions of god. i belive in reincarnation. also karma and that you should "do unto others as you would have do unto you"( yah, i'm not afraid of the bible and agree with some of it) i belive that everyone has their right to choose a religion and that people should not be converted...cause that's exactly what cults do... and that there is no right way, only the right way for you and what you personally believe. i have respect for all religions and always ask that others don't hate me, cause i don't hate them. also i ask that others learn about me and m religion before judging me with stereotypes and misconceptions. kisses and blesses, e.k.
