Yes many of them are so there is a significant threat.

okay to harass, discriminate and stereotype all Muslims?

No but at the same time it is not acceptable to give them less scrutiny then others.

Okay, first of all, not all Muslims are out to kill us. So you can stop panicking now. Second of all, by you saying that "Islamaphobia is over used" are you saying that it is okay to harass, discriminate and stereotype all Muslims?

Sorry I meant our fear off offending Muslims.

What do you mean that we cannot let "our fear" or offending Muslims stand in the way of winning the war on terror? Explain, please.

My bad, sorry. but the point of the matter is that when people tell someone "if you don't believe in God you'll go to Hell" either they're just being plain assholes or they're trying to convince you of something, trying to get you to believe in God out of fear of Hell, neither of those are good(for the obvious reasons). I'm glad you aren't doing that though.

Not really. I usually try to steer clear of Gay Marriage debates. Also my point about knowing gay people was that I spend some time with them. I don’t treat gay people like crap, like one Christian I used to know.
quote:
Or you believe what I believe or you'll go to hell.

I don’t claim to know if certain people will go to heaven or hell. And it is not me deciding what people have to believe in to go to heaven. Jesus said “I am the way the truth and the light no one comes to the father except threw me.”

Ok sorry then for making wrong assumptions about you. But just to let you know, the fact that you know gay people doesn't make you not homophobic. You could know people of whatever other race and still be a racist. Same as you can know gay people an be homophobic. So let me ask it like this, are you against gay marriage?

And also, of course telling someone they're going to hell is not the same as killing them that's not the point I was trying to make. The point is that because of their beliefs you tell them they're going to hell. So it's like this black or white thing. Or you believe what I believe or you'll go to hell. IT's this close-minded mentality. Fortunately if someone doesn't believe in hell they couldn't care less...but that's not the point.

That’s not the same as killing those who don’t believe in there religion. Also I am not banishing anyone to hell. Everyone has control over where they will spend eternity.

assume (correct me if I'm wrong) you're homophobic and are against gay rights?

Actually I am not homophobic, and I am not against Gay rights. I know a few people who are gay, and have spent some time with them.

Same as above...and I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) you're homophobic and are against gay rights?
Before you say anything, I'm not trying to get in on your argument with LTR... I just wanted to point out that your examples aren't that great...simply because you don't want to kill people...
