All my life I've been at extremely difficult schools where you had to analyze your ass off, write tons of essays (two or three per test), etc. Now I'm in a school in which you swallow the textbook and vomit that on your test and you get A's, and not even that because I am very much slacking off and living the good life alone and pulling off 4.00's as grades. But maybe that is because the old difficult schools improved my intelligence or something and now what is medium (in difficulty) or hard for other students is easy as hell for me.

usually when i'm not pissed off,i'm all yeah, gender has nothing to do with brains or brawn. but when a guy at soccer or skiing think that because they're better than me in the sport, boys are generally all around better than girls. than i get really mad and if i'm in soccer, shove into them and steal the ball from them enough times for them to respect me. in skiing i just ski harder and train harder but the guys usually respect me as a chick and realize i could kick their a** if i wanted to.
I think usually gender has nothing to do w/it, but I heard that guys just have shorter attention spans so girls pick up on more things. But girls complain too much and guys are too rowdy. I love having none of those qualities .

In college professors don't go "ooh well not a lot of effort but I know you are creative and smart so I'll just give you that A."
Also the fact that they are guys doesn't mean they are better at math and science its the fact that most males have an analytical thinking process while girls tend to have more of an empathetic thinking process. Both genders can have either.

I think intelligene has little or absolutely nothing to do with gender. even if a person is naturally predisposed to intelligence (and I'm not saying a certain gender is) it has much more to do with how hard that person is willing to work. anyway, i think natural tendency to be smarter has more to do with the person than with the persons gender.

Me being a female can say that guys are better at math. Some females are. I know I am not, I am better at Science or Social Studies. Other than that I don't have a clue.
boys, on the majority are good at math and science, wheras girls on the majority are good at all literature etc.
girls are just more organized and try harder, so it is easy to mistake them as being "way smarter than boys and better at everything"

the boy who gets C plus's or low B's is not necessarily stupid, he just smokes to much pot or drinks too much, or is just generally too disorganized/apathetic in his approach to school. this kid will flourish in college because he will grow up and learn that he likes something, put forth an effort and get somewhere. He will supercede the girl who got the A's
this is not always gender specific, there are grls who follow the apathetic kid and boys who follow the stupid hard worker...
I do have to agree with him about there being limited options for males being smarter and tougher though. noisemaker was very biased in her poll. And it was stupid.
It makes me wonder, though, what our parents generation would have thought of the question? Our grandparents? We didn't always take these things for granted...and obviously, some people still don't.

Back in tenth grade, every other Friday my World History class would have a boys vs girls trivia competition. The boys won the first four or five times, and the situation became so pathetic that the teacher allowed the girls to "recruit" one of the guys to be on their team for the next match. After much debate, they narrowly picked me. And then they won.
The moral of the story is that even though boys and girls may generally have brains wired to be "superior" in differing academic areas, these alleged boundaries (which are constantly being reinforced via stereotypes) can be easily overcome with a little perseverance. Oh, and evidently I'm pretty good at World History.

Okay no gender is smarter than the other really but at a primal level women were smarter then men as the female of a species usually is. The reason behind that is simple and not sexist this is a plain fact naturally women are weaker then men this is not to say weak as in can't do anything for selves but weak as in pure physical strength so women must be smarter to avid situations men can stand and fight in this is of course on a basic level.
