Hey Guys!
I'm sure many of us are involved in some great organizations that are making strides against not only the "-isms" but apathy, ignorance and intolerance in general!
The thing is, it's hard to network between organizations, get good ideas from others and share the great things we are doing on campus and in the world that are making IMMEDIATE impacts on our communities.
So, I declare a topic where we can share great ideas, websites and resources we've stumbled upon, and new and emerging organizations can make their voice heard.
For me, I'm involved in some orgs that are out there working to make a difference, Teach For America, National Student Partnerships, College Dems, and many more. I've found through conferences that you meet people who have some really innovative ideas, and that's what I see this as becoming.
I have found a couple good websites that are more political based, such as
Mobilize.org and youthpolicyactioncenter.org.
I'll add more later when I have time, but I just thought how useful it would be to have an open topic where we can share resources to make all of our organizations more successful!
