In addition to Amp's post, you're a sophomore this year, I assume, which is very evident in your attitude. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

Oh please. You make it so obvious that you're only 15.

Using your own picture isn't going to attract stalkers. Duh.

Is that in the United States? I don't doubt it exists, but all females I know are paid as well, if not better than their associates. quote: visit my myspace

Biologically, yes, men are equal to women. Otherwise, it depends on what exactly you look at.

Did anyone watch the series finale of Commander-In-Chief tonight? It was really good, and it touched on all of this... Women still get $.78 to the $1 that men get in the same jobs... That's enough for now...too tired to prepare a formal argument...

quote: both men & women are equal, 'nuff said!
You are forgetting equal pay. Which in the business world does not exist. And btw, men and women will never be looked at as equals unless history erases itself. There will always be the formerly oppressed trying to work their way up and prove themselves. There is a reason that women on average are payed .75 cents less than a man in the same position and a reason that on average there are more African Americans living in poverty than white Americans, and it doesn't have to do with laziness, intelligence, or performance. We have come a far way than say, 70 years ago, but there is still room for improvement. Because when you think about it, 70 years is not that long ago. And I am only referring to America. Women have been oppressed for thousands of years and still are in many other countries. Anyone who says women are equal to men are living in a fantasy world or just believe in every idealistic thing that is told to them. Just because YOU view women as equals does not mean that everyone has that same respect.

Men have oppressed woman FOREVER! Man and woman are equal in the eyes of God... but in socity men are the breadwinners and the women are the housewives. I think that men and woman should be treated ad looked at as equals in socity but sadly i doubt that will happen anythime soon.
