Didi,

If Jesus loves all then he should except people's feelings, and just because they love someone you shouldn't be telling them to beg for forgiveness, because they did nothing wrong to be forgiven.

It hurts me to read what I've seen here. I think it's awful that so many have been victims of hate and violence because they are homosexuals; hate is wrong, and no one should have to deal with it. I truly mean this, but it doesn't change what I believe.
Homosexuality is wrong. It's sin; God intended man and woman to be together, not man and man or woman and woman. I realize you may not want to hear this and it may offend you, but I think it would be wrong not to say what I think. When you say that God never said He hates homosexuals, you are correct, but God did say He hates homosexuality (yes, the Bible does say that, you can look it up if you want, it's in Leviticus 18:22 and several other places). God does love all his children the same, but He hates their sin. If you are homosexual and act on it, God loves you, but he doesn't love your homosexuality. Also, God doesn't create homosexuals; acting on homosexuality is a choice. God doesn't create a murderer; a person chooses to do that.
But, as I said earlier, God also never intende for His children to judge one another; that's His job, and we should respect each other.

I feel strongly about the issue of homophobia even though I am not homosexual. It just makes me upset to be around people that dont even give things achance. THe show vehement hatred towards people that they dont even know. Most people at my school probably havent known someone who is homosexual and if they ahve they didnt know about it. It is such a bad thing at my school that it makes me sick.
It also upsets me to see reigous sectors openly showing they find it distasteful because there is nothing wrong with homosexuality or bisexuallity. Where can the people who do faith go when everyone is against them. My cousin came out and lives with her girlfriend and now my mom keeps harrassing my sister asking why she wears the clothes she does even though she says she supports my cousin. I do not think my sister is gay but it shouldnt matter if she is. And if she is she is probably terrified to admit it.

Some of my closest friends are gay and lesbian (partly because I'm an actress and there are a lot of gay and lesbian actors and actresses), but in my suburban hometown homosexuality is "gross". I think people need to learn that it's no biggie.

I'm 16 and I'm a lesbian, I've told all my friends that I was and they had no prob with it.. I can even talk to them about my "relationships" and such like they talk to me about the guys they like and so on... The thing that really bugs me is that Being Black and gay it hurts to hear people say that black people gave America Aids or Gay people gave America Aids and that we are all drug users and promiscuous, there are more or the same amount of straight people that use drugs and are promiscuous .....And the most famous one I hate is that "God hates gays!" when God does not ever profess that in the bible God loves all of his children even his gay children. I am proud to be queer it's who i am just like I am black and so proud to be and I smite all the people who use violence and painful words to hurt us or "get rid of us" so I will continue to wear my rainbows and march in pride parades and hold my gf's hand in public until things change for the better for all homosexuals and Minorities ..and hopefully other teens and adults will get the courage to come out.

Hey Andrew!!! I gotta give you bigs on that one. I'm a 15 yrs./F and im bi. For me going to school is getting harder and harder everyday. i think that it is so wrong for someone to not like you because you are different from other people. Its not like we asked to feel the way we do. No one ask to fall in love with the people they do. Well, the same goes for us GAYS. I hope that ur b/f will be ok from now own. Holla back @ me!! smile wink cool

I just want to say that we had a discussion in my women's studies class about friendship. We were talking about if it was diffcult to be friends with girls. We all said that some times it was 'cause girls can be catty. But it was also hard to be JUST friends with a guy. Our final opinion was that the best kind of friends are gay guys because you get the best of both worlds. You don't have to deal with cattyness and you don't have to be worried he's going to fall in love with you. It's true too! my best friend is gay. He's soo awesome!
cheers

I think it shows all of our characters if we treat others' differences as just differences and not reasons to disown or kill. Personally, I am straight, and even some of my friends will say, "I'm so glad you're straight and normal." I usually say, "Well, if a person's gay or lesbian, it makes no difference to me." The only time it bothers me is if the person who is gay is pushing it in my face and saying I'm dumb to be straight (which has happened in my school). It's like they go too far and get a prejudice against straight people. Otherwise, nothing bothers me about sexual preference or any other kind of prejudice, for that matter. To be confident of oneself is the best defense anyone can have against prejudice. cool

I also feel that it is completely wrong to discriminate against someone because of their sexuality. I have seen many incedents of homophobia and heterosexism, and it sickens me. One of my best friends was practically forced out of his high school because he is gay. I always stand up for my homosexual/bisexual friends and brother. I am bisexual, and I've taken a lot of abuse for that. At my school, when myself, and other members of our Gay Straight Alliance, put up posters promoting respect and understanding, some of them were defaced and torn down. I don't feel as though sexuality is a choice, I always ask people that make rude comments to me "did you chose to be heterosexual" I sadly think many of them miss the point of the question. I commend you for comming out in such an abusive and harsh world, because that takes a lot of courage. I truely hope that you never have to experience the discrimination that so many others have.

i think it is completely wrong, absolutly wrong to hurt someone from that sort of judgment. i mean there's all these people saying it's against god's will that it was "adam and eve not adam and steve" but who the hell are they to kill, beat up or even just saying hateful things, for that matter, to people who are different from them. i mean first off they call gay people sinners but are they perfect? have they never commited crime in their entire being? and second, doesn't the church teach tolerance to all people? is hate not the worst of sins, and judjment? i would say that they should take their preaching against gays and lesbians and SHOVE IT!!!! 'cos this hatred will get them NOWHERE. personally, i don't think there is anything wrong with gay people, plus, i don't even think it's a sin. i mean did they wake up one morning and say - "hey, i think i'll be gay today". so if somebody goes to hell for being gay, what else is to conclude but that He first makes sinners then punishes them. a message for people who discriminate others - think about this for a LONG time.
[B] i think it's major cool that you can come forward and freely say that you're gay. it takes guts.[/B
