Your teacher did it a little late, don't you think?

Oh well, as long as it's getting put out there. But I mean, what's it worth to teach people about Rosa Parks 20 years from now? It's like, well Rosa Parks recently died.. so we're gonna have a day for her. Mleh. WTF?!

The President should be wise and create a day to honor Rosa Parks. It would be the first black woman, I believe, to have a day.

In schoo; all day we watched Rosa Parks funeral in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th hour. and i think it's good that there is a board to commend her because she was very important. without her there wouldn't have even been a civil rights movement.

-----"""Morons, all of them."""---

Haha. That sounded very...Pinky from Pinky and The Brain.

-----"""You know I wonder whether they'll let her ride in the front of the hearse or not..."""---

Lol. What if they had made some law, honoring Rosa, allowing her to sit in any seat on any bus. Then, she abused her power and continually chose the driver's seat; causing chaos wherever she went, especially since she was blind and her robotic legs couldn't reach the brake pedal.

I also look on her with much fondness. Rosa, you were one helluva gal.

"The Mother of the Modern-day Civil Rights Movement,"

you know what, i learned anout her in elementary school, but i didn't learn anything last year in World History because we learned about the WORLD and this year im in US History, so i think i might learn about her. But the thing is i didn't know she was even still alive. because i didn't hear about her unitil i learned it in school, then i totaly forgot about her unitl i opened my-yahoo and it said in bold letters that she died and it amazed me, how she lived for so long without me even knowing. she was an awsome women. once in a life time you see someone come around and change the world. ROSA LOUISE McCAULEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBER.

You know....I find this hilarious....everytime someone who's an important historical figure dies....I just can't believe it...they're not dead for me.

I hadn't heard anything about this! Trust my school to keep us all informed...

Mine either. Someone mentioned it briefly during my Marketing class.

Morons, all of them.

It kind of makes me sad that they didn't say anything about it in my school. They should have.

It's so depressing to see such a tremendous figure pass away. Last night I grabbed the candle I kept over here and my bowl from my ice cream and was about to step into the kitchen when I heard.

So I stopped, put my stuff down, and sat through the (obviously impromptu) tribute. It was moving, but I'm excited to see the better news tributes tonight.
