First of all, there are plenty of athiests and non-christians who are against gay-marriage. Second, Bush can't "ban gay marriage." Grow up and read the constitution. Third, I am on the fence here. I disagree with gay mariage but I also agree with Celtic that this issue should be left to the states. I would not be against a Federal Amendment, but I would rather the states do it themselves.

No. Especially since his reasons have to do with his Christianity. That would almost be like him forcing his religion on all of America. And I agree with moovivor....I'll be begging to move as well.

No, it's none of his business. Leave it to the states to choose.

You can't ban something if it's not legal to begin with. I know in some places it is, but it's not like it's a national thing.

Bush himself? No. And he can't.
But, if a constitutional amendment passes (MANY, MANY people have to agree with an amendment for it to pass) against it, then... I guess the country will have spoken. But if that does happen (and on a national scale, it's highly improbable), I can honestly say I will beg my parents to move to Australia (lovely place) or Canada (that's where my friends will be moving).
